Arkham Asylum Achievements [Guide]
Description: There are 47 achievements in Arkham Asylum. Difficulty achievements stack, so getting them on Hard means you get them on Easy and Normal as well. All secret achievements are story related and not able to be missed.

Armored Batman (Batman: Arkham Asylum)
Beat story mode to unlock Armored Batman for Challenge Mode. Armored Batman has a bit more health than regular Batman. You will be able to select Armored Batman before beginning a Challenge.

Freeflow Perfection Achievement / Trophy
Before attempting this Achievement / Trophy you should have Batman fully upgraded with all combo-based upgrades etc. You can do this fairly easily in the later rounds of the first Challenge, Intensive Treatment. You will need to perform the following moves in a single combo (do not get hit, or blocked or let the combo counter run out) to get the Achievement / Trophy. NOTE: You can Evade as many times as you want to keep your combo going!

Punch
Stun
Evade
Counter
Throw
Instant Takedown
Ground Takedown

After using the first few moves listed above plus a couple of Punches to get your combo meter above 5x, you can perform a Throw. Don't let him hit anyone else or you may leave yourself without any opponents to continue the combo.
Punch a bit more and Evade as needed, then use the Instant Takedown when its available. Before using a Ground Takedown to complete this combo, use some Batarangs to stun anyone else nearby - if it is all clear, go for the Ground Takedown to complete the "perfect" combo!

Secret Room in the Warden's Office, Reference to Batman: Arkham City [Easter Egg]
How to: In the Warden's Office, head back to the room with the Warden's portrait on the far wall. Turn left as soon as you enter the doorway and approach the wooden wall. You can destroy this with Explosive Gel. It may take a bit of trial and error, but one panel can be blown away. Beyond this is an unmarked room with a blueprint on the wall. It shows plans for the relocation or expansion of Arkham to Gotham City. This is a nod to the setting of Batman: Arkham City.

[Easter Egg] Alternate Endings
After you beat the game and the credits come to an end, you will be treated to one of three ending movies.
They seem to be random and not based on completion percentage. Here are the three endings:

Bane's arm rises out of the water and grabs a container of Titan formula
Killer Croc's arm rises out of the water and grabs a container of Titan formula
Scarecrow's arm rises out of the water and grabs a container of Titan formula

Joker Challenge -Batman: Arkham Asylum
This requires a PSN ID (free) and a broadband connection (cost depends on your country of origin).
The Joker is downloaded free from the Playstation Store (Game Add-On). It is free and stacks up to approximately 180 MB.
Once the download is finished, Joker is a selectable character in Challenge Mode. The Joker does not have any trophy awards in the challenges (he just needs to complete them).

The Missing Cadaver [Easter Egg]
Description: After solving the Ra's Al Ghul riddle in Dr. Young's Office (scan the toe tag of the cadaver hanging out of the morgue wall), return much later (after finishing the game, for instance) and the cadaver will be missing: Most curious!

High Combo Hint -Batman: Arkham Asylum
When you fight a Titan henchman and a group of normal henchmen, stun a Titan, jump on his back and used him to hit the normal baddies. Your combo total goes up even you didn't hit anything!

Action Camera Batman: Arkham Asylum
When equipped with the Batarang, Batclaw, or Multibatarang you can activate a cool behind-the-projectile camera by holding L1 and firing with R2.

[Easter Egg] Paging Dr. Clooney
After you rescue Cash and an orderly from the Joker's laughing gas, stand in the main room looking at the smaller room where they were trapped. A ticker scrolls a garbled message:
"Dr. Clooney report to Gynecology." No doubt a nod to ladykiller and former Batman, George Clooney.

"Night Glider" Achievement / Trophy Made Easy
Climb to the highest point of Arkham Mansion in Arkham East (the clock tower) and glide down for an easy Night Glider Achievement / Trophy (Glide continuously for 100 meters).

Joker's Take-Down (Batman: Arkham Asylum)
Challenge mode bases its item upgrades on your upgrades purchased in Story Mode (for that file).

Joker has no applicable upgrades for every five consecutive combo hits he connects, he will be able to perform an instant takedown (TRIANGLE + CIRCLE together) on one enemy.

The takedown is randomized among three or four different animations (shock buzzer, head punch, eye poke, etc.) but all functionally disables an enemy permanently.

Catch! Achievement / Trophy *Batman: Arkham Asylum*
You will need to catch your own Batarang for the Catch! Achievement. To do so, head outside of a building and, with the Remote Controlled Batarang upgrade, toss your Batarang, Control it so it returns to Batman in a wide arch to satisfy the Trophy / Achievement requirement.

Challenges (Batman: Arkham Asylum)

Scarecrow's Aptly Named Doctors [Easter Egg]
Description: The first Scarecrow Interview Tape features the names "Dr. Murphy" and "Dr. Combs." This could very well be a reference to Cillian Murphy, the actor who played Scarecrow in Batman Begins and Jeffrey Combs who played the character in The New Batman Advetnures.

The Final Chronicle of Arkham Riddle
How to: After you have snapped a shot of 23 of the 24 of the Chronicle of Arkham markers, you will need to track down the final marker. The key to solving the mystery of Arkham is the Warden, whom you last saw in the Security Control Room. Head to this room in the Penitentiary and enter the small central office area. Look on the floor for a circle of scribbles and etchings that say "BATMAN."
Enter Detective Mode and take an Environmental scan of this to complete the final Chronicle of Arkham Riddle.

Arkham's Website [Easter Egg]
As you walk (or run) through the halls of the Medical Facility, there is a voice in the speakers that will read a website: http://www.ArkhamCare.com. If you try typing it on your browser, it will lead to Arkham Asylum's website, with everything you want to know about it! (Even prices!).
If you go to the EMPLOYEE LOGIN section, use this Guard ID to log in as Boles: 125845712. You can read his email and peruse other files.
