Bonus points: Lead the flooze to cross over itself five times for an extra 4,000 points. This is easier to accomplished after waiting until the end of the pipe. A more difficult bonus can be claimed by completely filling the screen with pipes. This results in 50,000 points.

Hint: Easy rank increase:
Hail all friendly ships that are encountered and ask for news. Eventually, a Letter of Marque from that nation will be collected. Repeat this keep increasing in rank.

Hint: Crew happiness:
Get to 40 years old. The crew will always be happy no matter what the size for some time.
