Add defeated AC emblems:
Press Select + Start when viewing a defeated
AC at the victory screen to add the defeated AC's emblem to your
list. A sound will confirm correct code entry.
First person view:
Insert a memory card with saved game files from Armored
Core 2 or Armored Core 2: Another Age. After saving
and resuming in Armored Core 3 from that memory card, pause
game play, then press L1 + R2 + X + Square
+ D-pad to get a first person view of the current screen.
Note: The screen will return to normal when the game is resumed.
Human Plus enhancements:
Successfully complete the game and load up the clear
data. You will receive mail stating that someone wants you to
defeat a pilot named "Exile" and that he is very powerful
and if you need an edge. Buy the OP-INTENSITY part. It is free,
but you need every optional slot open for it.
Extra Arena:
Defeat Ace and get an "A-1" rank to unlock
the Extra Arena. This arena allows you and a partner to face two
other ACs.
Hint: Bonus parts:
Get an "S" rank on every mission. Depending
on the mission, you will receive various parts that cannot be
earned by getting a lower rank. Each mission is based on speed,
damage taken, and ending price.
Hint: Defend Water Processors Hidden parts:
There is a hidden inside part on the mission "Defend
Water Processors". From where you start, go right (directly
east, and go over the pipes) and back a bit (south). You will
see a small object next to the pipes (somewhere in between the
yellow and red out-of-bounds line). When you spot it, stand next
to it and press Circle. You will be notified when you acquire
it. Complete the mission to receive the MWI-DD/20 inside part.
Hint: Leg part:
In the "Garage" section, achieve a "S"
rank in both the AC tests. You will unlock a leg part called MLH-MX/VOLAR.
It is a heavyweight humanoid leg part that is good for balancing
weight and performance.
Hint: Custom AC tips:
Legs: Do not use Tank legs, Stay with the ORC or EDGE for bipeds or switch to the floating one with the 4999 weight limit. Unless you know how to handle them, Tank legs and heavy bipeds are not recommended.
Back weapons: The Smaller Grenade Launcher is better because it fires faster. Also, the Single Side Vertical Missile Launcher is great with the VLS (vertical launch system) extension. It dishes out a lot of damage. The Linear Cannon is a lot of fun, provided you can get the tracking correct. You should also use the Quartet Cannon if you have it. The Dual Multi Missile is also very good, especially with the missile extension. Note: If you can track with the Chainguns, they are the only way to go. They can cause a massive amount of damage and are not that heavy.
Right arm: You should only use the 1000 ammo machine gun or the Karasawa. The Sniper Rifle, the bigger bazooka, or the 12 shot grenade launcher are also good. At worst, use the 90 ammo energy rifle or the high heat hand gun.
Left arm: The howitzer is the only one worth having. Use it when you have got a lock with your right arm weapon and you should hit quite often. Also, it has a whopping 50 shots. If you like laserblades, use the Moonlight.
Cores: Use the 1021? Weight Overboost Core. It does not use all that much energy to Overboost. If you want to use the Exceed Orbit, the ORCA Core is best; if you miss a bit it has lots of ammunition to compensate.
Radiator: Does not matter. You usually do not heat enough to start melting, and if you do, you still take a substantial amount of damage regardless of your radiator.
Generator: Always use the heaviest generator. You will find the others simply cannot put out enough energy.

Note: Although this AC design is not one of the fastest, its high AP of 9525, large store of missiles and ammunition, as well as missile decoys to evade on-coming enemy missiles, make it a very difficult opponent. Also, the Over Boost feature on the AC's core make it very mobile in the hands of an experienced player. Though not recommended for missions, considering the high cost of its large missile salvos, it is an excellent Arena AC, and is able to meet the challenge of all Arena participants. Using all of the assets found on this particular AC is recommended, especially its Over Boost (in short bursts), which it tends to rely on heavily for improved mobility.

When using the Karasawa, Jump Boost to not waste your energy as fast. If you do this, you can fire the Karasawa with out having to stop and recharge the energy gauge. if you decide to use the dual firing missiles, you can hide behind a pillar and assault your opponent. The two chainguns also provide 600 total volleys of bullets to the dual chaingun's 75 volleys of bullets. The CLR-03-SEOLF hover legs provide the mobility required to move in close to your opponent and deliver the devastating slashes to claim victory, and the KEEP-ELIX Extension Part provides extra energy for a quick retreat, necessary for hit and run tactics. The most devastating attack this Armored Core can dish out requires the Enhanced Back Weapon Function and the Blade Wave Function of the OP-INTENSIFY Optional Part. The attack consists of moving in on your opponent while using your chainguns to whittle down your opponents armor points, and then slashing away at them with both the blade itself and the blade wave, and the Overboosting away to prevent the ability of a retaliation attack. The entire maneuver has the ability to strip your opponent of at least half of his or her armor points, leaving victory in your grasp.

Note: Kinematic is an excellent Armored Core for running circles around your opponents in the Arena and to evade almost all or their fire. The OP-INTENSIFY (provided it can enhance your booster power) allows you to keep the booster active throughout the entire battle, and the KEEP-ELIX will allow you to keep your energy level up out of the red zone. Kinematic uses the CBT-FLEET and MWB-MX/WAKE Boosters to great effect, and it is used for charging your opponent and then slide-strafing side to side around your opponent to keep him or her off balance. The PLS-SRA02 and the OP-LFCS++ keep your opponent locked on at virtually all times and allow you to keep your heavy trigger finger on the trigger all of the time as well. The two machine guns may seem like they are basic, simple, and pathetic weapons. However after about fifty consecutive hits, your opponent's AC will obtain an "Out Put Down", and allow you to gain a faster victory. The other two listed machine guns (MWG-MG/800 and CWG-MGL/150) allow for rapid fire machine guns and allow you to defeat your opponent even faster than before. Although it is only given a "Fair" rating, Kinematic can be a devastating force in the hands of a capable pilot, a devastating force that Mobius, or Nameless for that matter, cannot withstand. After some training, Kinematic can be a very reliable Consort in the Extra Arena, and even against your friends in the multi-player battles.

However, Kudos is a good core for both missions and for the Arena. Kudos is designed to be an offensive Armored Core that can take some punishment. Kudos is equipped with heavy legs to provide the ability for some heavy weapons and heavy arms to provide armor points, and is also equipped with a lightweight core and a strong booster (CBT-FLEET) to provide mobility, great for a heave bipedal. Kudos is also equipped with the dual ammunition pack to provide extra ammunition for it's bazooka and its howitzer, and with a solid EO core, all weapons can be used at once. Note: An extremely well built AC converted from Armored Core 3. It is good for both missions that require tanks and arena fights. Note: Even though this AC's head looks very ugly, it is one of the best in the game. Though the arm units may seem weak, they are great at tearing away any enemy's AP, especially when you use both arm units at the same time. This AC also has an arsenal of powerful missiles for long range combat.
