Wide ship:
Enable the "Black ship" code. Return to the title screen and highlight the "Exit" option of the configuration mode screen. Hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 + Start. Press Start after the "Start" is highlighted and hold all buttons until the ship transforms.

Twisted ship:
Twist the NegCon controller to also twist the ship.

Programmer message:
When the game begins, move the Solvalou to the lower right corner and continuously bomb. Shoot down the first set of spinning disc ships when they are very close to your Solvalou to see the message.

Talk to short Lone Gunman:
Dial 1-202-555-0147 on your cell phone, wait a moment, and he will talk to you for a minute.

Quick continue:
Hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 and press Start when continuing to keep the same characters.

Fight as Akuma:
Enter the character selection screen. Highlight Spiral and wait three seconds. Then, highlight the following characters in order: Silver Samurai, Psylocke, Colossus, Iceman, Colossus, Cyclops, Wolverine, and Omega Red. Finally, highlight Silver Samurai, wait three seconds and press LK + HK + HP. Akuma will appear in place of Silver Samurai to confirm correct code entry. To fight as Akuma as player two, highlight Storm and wait three seconds. Then, highlight Cyclops, Colossus, Iceman, Sentinel, Omega Red, Wolverine, Psylocke, and Silver Samurai. Then, highlight Spiral, wait three seconds, and press LK + HK + HP.

Fight as Juggernaut:
Play through the game until you reach Juggernaut. Then, press Start on controller two. Begin a two player game, and have player two intentionally lose. While the word "Continue" below is counting, press Start on controller two while Juggernaut's stage is highlighted. Juggernaut's face icon will be on the top right corner of the character selection screen. Juggernaut can also fight himself and Magneto. Note: Juggernaut is for player two only. To deselect Juggernaut, move the D-pad Up, Down, Left, or Right.

Toad:
Successfully complete arcade mode as any character to unlock Toad.

Mystique:
Successfully complete arcade mode twice as any character to unlock Mystique.

Sabretooth:
Successfully complete arcade mode three times as any character to unlock Sabretooth.

Magneto:
Successfully complete arcade mode four times as any character to unlock Magneto.

Spider-Man:
Enable the "Cheat mode" code. Highlight Cyclops at the character selection screen and hold L1 while he is selected.

Movie costume:
Press Square at the character selection screen to choose that character's movie costume.

Third costumes:
Graduate the Academy with any character and get all "A" ranks. Then, press Circle at the character selection screen.

Behind the scenes pictures in Cerebro mode:
Successfully complete the game with all characters in their movie costumes.

Character movie pictures in Cerebro mode:
Win twenty rounds as any character in their movie costume in survival mode.

Character comic pictures in Cerebro mode:
Win ten rounds as any character in their default costume in survival.
