Skirtless Candy:
Play As Candy (Honey) in two player mode. Get the win counter above your energy meter goes over 100. Have your opponent knock off Candy's lower body armor and her skirt will disappear.

Fight as B. Mahler:
Wait for the timer to reach nine seconds at the character selection screen. Quickly hold Start + Up. While continuing to hold Start repeatedly press Up/Left or Up/Right to move the pointer to the other side of the screen one fighter at a time. For example, if you are player one, move to the right starting on Grace. If you are player two, move to the left starting on Rickey. Keep Start held and point Up between steps. The pointer will eventually go off the screen and the character portrait will change to B. Mahler. Note: This can only be done on machines with over accumulated 15,000 plays.

Extra items:
Press Jump + Down and repeatedly press Left, Right to break open barrels, trash cans, and pillars to get gems and other hidden items.

Restore energy:
Collect the chewing gum that Eddie B. spits to restore some energy.

Extra damage:
Select Cody or Guy as a character and hold Away and press Attack(3). Note: Hold Away and press Attack(2) when playing as Haggar. If done correctly, your character will also throw your opponent for extra damage.

Expert mode (Japanese version):
Start a game in regular mode. Press Left, Right, Up, Right, Down, Right, Left, Left at the blue introduction screen. The sound of a bell will confirm correct code entry.

Easy mode (Japanese version):
Start a game in regular mode. Press Right, Up, Left, Left, Down, Up, Right, Down at the blue introduction screen. The sound of a bell will confirm correct code entry.

No enemy lasers:
Destroy all the ships except for the two in the lower left corner of the formation. Keep out of the way as the two remaining ships dive and fire. Continue this for approximately fifteen minutes, until they dive, but no longer shoot their lasers. Allow them to continue diving for several cycles, then destroy them. All enemies for the remainder of the game will not shoot at you.

Fight Against Rouwe:
Defeat all other fighters within two rounds in single-player mode.

Select victory pose:
Press a Punch or Kick button immediately after your opponent has been defeated.

Victory taunt:
Defeat your opponent, then hold Left or Right and press Start before your character's victory pose to taunt them.

Random fighter:
Hold Start and press a Punch or Kick button at the character selection screen.

Survival mode:
Hold both Punch and both Kick buttons before the character selection screen appears. Then highlight a character and press Start.

Pojo the chicken:
Enter EGG as your initials followed by 911 as a code.

Stick figure jester:
Enter STX as your initials followed by 222 as a code.

Armored rat warrior:
Enter RAT as your initials followed by 333 as a code.

Ice dwarf:
Enter ICE as your initials followed by 600 as a code.

Big head jester:
Enter PNK as your initials followed by 666 as a code.

Knight:
Enter TAK as your initials followed by 118 as a code.

Valkyrie with scythe weapon:
Enter TWN as your initials followed by 300 as a code.
