Little, flat, solo, and dark modes:
Press Left, Down, Right at the song or difficulty selection screen for little mode. Repeat the code for flat mode. Repeat the code again for solo mode. Repeat the code again for Dark mode.

Faster game play:
Press Up, Up, Left, Down, Left at the song or difficulty selection screen. Repeat this code to increase its effect.

Slower game play:
Press Up, Up, Right, Down, Right at the song or difficulty selection screen. Repeat this code to increase its effect.

Disable all codes:
Press Left, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right at the song or difficulty selection screen.

Alternate costume color:
Highlight a fighter at the character selection screen and press Start.

Extra time:
Approach the slot machine that crosses the beginner track. Press Start to stop each wheel. If "777" appears on the slot machine, extra time will be added to the race clock. Note: This cannot be done on multi-player machines.

Quick start:
Hold Start at the transmission selection screen. The message "Real Racers Only" will appear. Keep Start held and allow the selection timer to expire and continue with a manual transmission. Once at the beginner track, keep Start held through one lap. If done correctly, your car will reach 210 mph before getting to the slot machine and be ahead of the rest of the pack.

No CPU cars:
Hold Start at the transmission select screen. The message "Real Racers Only" will appear. Have all players hold Start while selecting a transmission. If done correctly, there will be no CPU cars during game play.

Reversed tracks listing:
Race a track in reverse. If you qualify for the high score list, the letter "R" will appear next to your name.

Alternate view:
Hold Start and press View 2 + View 3 + View 4.

Time attack mode:
Hold Start and press Accelerate at the transmission selection screen. Only player-controlled cars will appear in this mode. If you qualify for the high score list, the letters "T.A." will appear next to your name.

No handicap mode:
Note: This can only be done on multi-player machines. Press View 1 + View 2 + View 3 + View 4 at the track selection screen. A small white dot will appear in the top left corner of the screen to confirm correct code entry. This prevents cars not in first place to have a higher top speed to allow them to catch up. This is only enabled In multi-player races when more than half of the players use the code.

Alternate background music:
Press the background buttons as the game starts.

Secret music:
Play well enough to qualify for the high score list. Enter one of the following initials to hear parts of various songs from different Sega games:

Hint: Special ending sequence:
Finish in first, second, or third place on every track. Note: If on a multi-player machine, the sequence only plays if one player was racing.

Hint: Special billboard:
Select the intermediate track and intentionally drive into the raised path located just before pit road. A "You Just Lost Your Sponsors" billboard will appear.

Hint: Big birds:
Stop on the last corner of the expert track. The birds that approach your car will be larger.

Hint: Statue tricks:
Select the expert track, then drive in reverse mode. Jeffrey's statue will stand on its hands on the second lap. Come to a complete stop near the statue and press Start repeatedly to make the statue spin.

Bumper view:
Press View 1 + View 2 during game play to place the view off the left bumper. Press View 2 + View 3 during game play to place the view off the right bumper.

Overhead view:
Hold View 4 + View 3 + View 2 (in order) during game play.

Dashboard view:
Press View 2(2) during game play.

Alternate views:
Hold View 2 and repeatedly press Start.

Mirror mode:
Hold Start while selecting a track at the circuit selection screen.

Time lap mode:
Hold Start and press Accelerate to make a choice on the transmission selection screen. The message "Time Lap Mode" will appear to confirm correct code entry. No CPU cars will appear in this mode. Alternately, rapidly tap Start after selecting a track at the circuit selection screen until the timer runs out.

Lights on the road:
Begin a race on the Fantasy Amusement Park (Advanced) track. Rapidly tap Start during laps three and four to put lights on the road.

Alternate soundtrack:
Hold Start when the message "Gentlemen, Start Your Engines" appears prior to a race. Release the buttons when the phrase "The race is approaching" is heard.

Bumper view:
Press View 1 + View 2 during game play to place the view off the left bumper. Press View 2 + View 3 during game play to place the view off the right bumper.

Overhead view:
Hold View 4 + View 3 + View 2 (in order) during game play.

Dashboard view:
Press View 2 two times during game play.

Alternate views:
Hold View 2, View 3, or View 4 and repeatedly press Start.

Mirror mode:
Hold Start while selecting a track at the circuit selection screen.

Reverse tracks:
Select a track. Then, hold Brake and select a car.

Time lap mode:
Hold Start and press Accelerate to make a choice on the transmission selection screen. The message "Time Lap Mode" will appear to confirm correct code entry. No CPU cars will appear in this mode. Other mode:
Press Left, Down, Right at the song selection screen.

Boost mode:
Press Left, Right, Down at the song selection screen.

Reverse mode:
Press Down, Left, Right, Left, Right at the song selection screen.

Hidden, Sudden, and Stealth modes:
Press Left, Up, Right at the song selection screen to play in hidden mode. Repeat this code while still at the song selection screen to play in sudden mode. Repeat this code a third time while still at the song selection screen to play in stealth mode. Repeating this code again while still at the song selection screen will return the game to normal.

No freeze arrows:
Press Right, Left, Down, Up at the song selection screen.

Cancel all modes:
Press Left, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right at the song selection screen to disable all active modes.

MaxX Unlimited song:
Get an "AA" on the last song under the heavy difficulty setting. Note: Little mode cannot be used.

Kakumei song:
Get an "AA" rank on the MaxX Unlimited song. Note: The MaxX Unlimited song must be played when it is unlocked as a bonus, and not from the song selection list, if it is already available.

Unlock songs:
Note: This code can only be done by an arcade operator. Open the machine's cabinet and press Service to enter test mode. Select "Clear Points", then choose "Game Options". Hold Down for player one and hold Service. Press Start for player one. Select "Append", then enter one of the following codes.

First five songs: Enter DGMBJCU - YCDPMAS as a code.
First ten songs: Enter MCQEMRG - KHVOBWG as a code.
First fifteen songs: Enter BARTYY - PDSHTBH as a code.
First twenty songs: Enter USGCFHJ-JLBBYXK as a code.
First twenty five songs: Enter IJURVIT-WXFCOJW as a code.
All songs: Enter JCYWEKJ-DZJNBGF as a code.

Reverse replay:
Press Hold + Kick during the "KO", then press Punch during the replay. Note: This may only be done once per game.

School uniforms:
Insert your coin(s), then hold Punch + Kick and press Start. The high school uniforms for Kasumi and Ayane will now be available.

Reverse replay:
Press Free + Kick during the "KO", then press Punch during the replay.

Select winning pose:
Hold Punch + Kick, Free + Punch, or Free + Kick during the replay to select a new winning pose.

Control pose view:
Win a match in time attack or single mode. Then, hold Punch after the replay. Keep holding Punch and use the Joystick to move the camera. Press Free to zoom in and Kick to zoom out.

Fight as Raidou:
Play in Tournament mode as Kasumi and defeat Raidou in stage 8. Then, enter SIAWASE? as a name at the high score screen.

Hint: Faster 100 meter Dash:
Press Right, Left, View Change when the players are introduced to get through the race faster.

Control wind:
Press Start during the Shot Put and Discus Throw events to control the wind direction. Use the balloon to judge where the wind is blowing.

Alternate costumes:
Press B, C or D when selecting a fighter.

Alternate music:
Hold Bomb + Fire while inserting your credit(s) at the title screen. Keep those buttons held and press Start. Remixed songs from Dragon Spirit will now be played on the first six stages and ending.

Speed mode:
Hit [High Hat] [Snare] [High Hat] [High Hat] [Snare] [High Hat] [Bass] at the mode selection screen.

Hidden mode:
Hit [High Tom] [Low Tom] [High Tom] [Low Tom] [High Tom] [Bass] at the mode selection screen.

Mirror mode:
Hit [Snare] [Snare] [High Tom] [Low Tom] [High Tom] [Bass] at the mode selection screen.

Expert Real difficulty:
Hit [High Hat] [High Hat] [Snare] [Snare] [High Tom] [Low Tom] [High Tom] [Low Tom] [Bass] [Bass] at the mode selection screen. Press Right at the Real difficulty setting.

Options menu:
Insert your coins(s), then hold Left + Right and press Start.

Hidden and sudden modes:
Insert your coins(s), then hit [High Tom] [Low Tom] [High Tom] [Low Tom] [High Tom] [Bass] and press Start. Hidden and sudden modes will now be unlocked at the options menu.

Tight mode:
Insert your coins(s), then hold [Bass] and hit [High Hat] [Snare] [High Tom] [Low Tom]. Release [Bass] then hit [High Hat] [Snare] [High Tom] [Low Tom], [Bass] + [Snare]. Tight mode will now be unlocked at the options menu.

Small and silent modes:
Insert your coins(s), then hit [High Tom] + [Low Tom], [Snare] [Snare], [High Hat] + [High Tom], [Snare] [Snare], [High Hat] + [Low Tom]. Small and silent modes will now be unlocked at the options menu.

Expert Real mode:
