Internet ranking mode:

Duplicate items:
Drop all items except for the one to be duplicated (item 1) and one throwable item (item 2). Throw item 2, throw item 1, pick up item 2, pick up item 1, use item 2, then press Start followed by Forward + B and throw.

Fight as Musashi:
Quickly press C(6), B(3), C(4) at the character selection screen to unlock Musashi.

Alternate costumes:
Press Start when selecting a fighter at the character selection screen.

Time attack mode:
Hold A + B + C + D and press Start at the main menu.

EX version:
Select a fighter at the character selection screen. Then, highlight "Speed" and press C(6). Highlight "Power" and press B(3). Highlight "Speed" again, press C(4), then press Start. When game play begins, your fighter will have both speed and power attributes boosted.

Fight as Kaede from Last Blade:
Highlight Kaede at the character selection screen, then press C(9), B, C(4). A sound will confirm correct code entry.

Fight as Kouryu:
Highlight Kaede at the character selection screen, then press C(10), B(5), C(5). A sound will confirm correct code entry.

Hagure Hitogata appearance:
Highlight Akari at the character selection screen, then press C(8), B(9), C(5). A sound will confirm correct code entry.

Naoe Kotetsu appearance:
Highlight Shigen at the character selection screen, then press C(5), B(10), C(2). A sound will confirm correct code entry.

Time attack mode:
Hold A + B + C + D and press Start at the main menu.

Alternate weapons:
Press Start(13) at the character selection screen, then press Punch or Kick to choose a fighter. Zaimoku will fight with a frozen fish, Yusaku will fight with a toy train, Joe will fight with corn, Lisa will fight with a soup ladle and spatula, Tommy will fight with a cleaning brush, Yoko will fight with an umbrella, Kurosawa will fight with a fan, and Nagi will fight with a spoon and fork.

King car:
Insert your coin(s). Hold the Brake and press Start. While continuing to hold Brake, select a course, then highlight the Nismo at far left side on the car selection screen. While continuing to hold Brake, hold Zoom In + Zoom Out and press Accelerate. Then, release Brake.

Sonic Racer car:
Insert your coin(s). Hold the Brake and press Start. While continuing to hold Brake, select a course, then highlight the Nismo at far left side on the car selection screen. While continuing to hold Brake, hold Zoom In + Start and press Accelerate. Then, release Brake.

Control demo:
Press Start with either gun during the demo. You can play the demo level for ten seconds with one life. After time is up, you cannot do it again until the demo cycles a few times.

Mini-golf stage:
Highlight Koyasha at the character selection screen and press Start. Highlight Mordus Kull and press Start. Then, highlight Takeshi and press Start.

Machu Pichu stage:
Highlight Namira at the character selection screen and press Start. Highlight Koyasha and press Start. Then, highlight Taria and press Start.

Castle stage:
Highlight Mordus Kull at the character selection screen and press Start. Highlight Taria and press Start. Then, highlight Ragnar and press Start.

San Francisco Rush
Highlight Xiao Long at the character selection screen and press Start. Highlight Al' Rashid and press Start. Then, highlight Koyasha and press Start.

Big head mode:
Highlight Ragnar at the character selection screen and press Start. Highlihgt Al' Rashid and press Start. Then highlight Takeshi and press Start.

Small fighter mode:
Highlight Takeshi at the character selection screen and press Start. Highlight Al' Rashid and press Start. Highlight Ragnar and press Start. Then, highlight Xiao Long and press Start.

Super speed grid mode:
Highlight Ichiro at the character selection screen and press Start. Highlight Xiao Long and press Start. Then, highlight Koyasha and press Start.

Fight as Grendal:
Select the Excutioner as a fighter and win by executing his finishing move. In the next match, highlight Grendal's name and press Evade and any other button.

Fight as Pojo the Chicken:
Select Taria as a fighter and win by executing the fatality move. Get one character length away, hold Q for two seconds and release to turn your opponent into Pojo. At the next character selection screen, highlight Taria, hold S, and press Start. Pojo will appear. While continuing to hold S and Start press any other button to fight as Pojo.

Bonus characters:
Enter the character selection screen. Highlight the following characters and press Down (in order): The Fool, Magician, High Priestess, Chariot, Justice, Sorceress, and World. Devil, Strength, and Empress may now be selectable.

Hidden characters:
Press C(3) at the character selection screen to unlock four additional characters.

Good tiles:
Press I + K + N before the tiles are dealt to start with a pile that has a lot of good starting matches.

Sheep race:
Get to the transmission selection screen. Quickly press Shift Up, Shift Up, Shift Down, Shift Down, lean the bike Left, and lean the bike Right. Keep leaning in that direction and hold Brake and Accelerate. Note: This must be completed before the countdown ends. The sound of a sheep will confirm correct code entry.

Time trial mode:
Hold Brake while making a choice at the course selection screen.

150cc Golden Kart:
Complete the rounds one and two in story mode.

150cc Golden Kart in Time Attack mode:
Unlock the 150cc Golden Kart. Highlight "Time Attack" at the mode selection screen, then press Red on the right. The 50cc kart will be replaced with the 150cc kart.

Hint: Quick start:
Press Gas as soon as "Go!" appears during the pre-race countdown.

Double power:
Select a fighter at the character selection screen, then press Player One Start + Player Two Start.

Enable gems:
Hold Player One Start + Player Two Start at the versus screen.

Continue fighting:
Press Start immediately after winning a round to continue hitting the defeated character.

Fight as Anita:
Press MP, LP, Left, LK, MK at the character selection screen.

Fight as Dr. Doom:
Press MK, LP, Down, LK, MP at the character selection screen.

Fight as Thanos:
Press LK, HK, MP(2), Up at the character selection screen.

Continue after victory:
Press Start when your character does is or her victory pose after winning a match. Use the Punch or Kick buttons to continue to hit the losing character.

Continue attacking:
Press Start immediately after winning the match to continue hitting the defeated character.

Change to second character:
Hold Start + Jab + Fierce + Short after selecting your characters. Release the buttons when the match begins to use your second character.

Hint: Fight as Onslaught (Japanese version):
Highlight Zangief at the character selection screen. Hold Start and rotate the joystick twenty times in a clockwise circle before the timer expires, then press Low Punch + Medium Punch + High Punch + Low Kick + Medium Kick + High Kick.

Alternate costumes:
Highlight a character at the selection screen, then press Assist 1 or Assist 2.

Change to second character:
Hold Start + LP + MP + HP after selecting your characters. Release the buttons when the match begins to use your second character.

Hint: Hayato: Combos:

Hayato has three basic combo skills that can be used in the game. No combo gauges will be used when the skills are used. Either press Left, LP, LP, LP, LP; or Left, LP, LP, LP, HK, LP, LP; or Left, HP, LP, HP, HP, HP.

Chicken Hunt mini-game:
Shoot all of the buttons in the elevator during the second mission.

Duck Hunt mini-game:
Shoot the posters hanging from columns during the second mission.

Horse Race mini-game:
Shoot all of the paintings during the second mission.

Proceed through level five until you get the tank. Drive it until after the section with the airplanes and look for a troop transport to appear. Go slowly, and only allow the tip of the troop transport to be displayed. Shoot the transport to get points without destroying it. Keep shooting to get more points.

Random character:
Press Up + Start at the fighter selection screen without moving the selection box from its original position.

Disable throws in versus mode game:
Hold Down + HP on player one and two's controls after both fighters have been selected. A message will confirm correct code entry.

Display top fifteen players:
Press Down during attract mode.

Fight against Jade:
Progress through the game until the match the precedes the "?" match. Defeat your opponent using just low kicks. Jade will now be your opponent during the "?" match.

Fight against Noob Saibot:
Win 50 consecutive matches.

Fight against Smoke:
Press Down + Start when Dan says "Toasty" on the Bridge stage.

Pong:
Accumulate 250 battles at the versus screen. Both players can play the Pong mini-game.

Successfully complete the game in team mode. Play again to fight as Meat. Meat can execute all the moves of the character that was selected.

Fight as Sub-Zero unmasked:
Select two player mode and have both players select Sub-Zero as a character. One of the characters will be controlling an unmasked version of Sub-Zero when game play begins.

Force CPU to perform a fatality:
Lose the fatality round to the CPU, then hold HK + HP. When the "Finish Him!" message is spoken, the CPU will perform its fatality.

The numbers represent how many times the corresponding button should be pressed.

Solo race:
Hold View + Full Throttle + Brake while you insert your coin(s). Hold the buttons until game play begins.

Hidden motorcycles:
Hold Full Throttle + Brake and press View to choose a motorcycle at the selection screen to unlock the YZ400 (with transparent driver) and YZ250 (with black suited driver).

Segal level:
Select practice mode. Highlight "Yenda" at the level selection screen and press Punch, Kick, Kick, Punch, Kick, Kick, Punch, Punch, Kick, Kick on the handlebars. The Segal level will now be unlocked.

Needles weapon:
Press Kick, Kick, Punch, Kick, Kick, Punch, Kick, Punch, Punch, Kick on the handlebars at the player selection screen. The needles weapon from the Segal level will now be available in any level.

Hammer weapon:
Press Punch, Kick, Punch, Kick, Punch, Punch, Kick, Punch, Punch, Kick on the handlebars at the player selection screen. The hammer weapon from the Segal level will now be available in any level.

Alternate bike color:
Press Punch, Kick, Kick, Punch, Punch, Kick, Kick, Punch on the handlebars at the player selection screen. Your bike will now be the color that the CPU bike usually displays.

255 lives:
When an apple appears in the first two rows of level 1, build a tunnel from the bottom of the screen to the location directly below the apple with a thin layer of dirt to keep the apple in place. Kill all enemies until only one remains. Then, intentionally lose your lives until you are on your last life. Position yourself under the apple and wait for the enemy to approach. Dig the dirt under the apple so it falls while shooting the enemy to kill it. The enemy must die before the apple hits Mr. Do. If done correctly, the game will glitch, and the life counter will increase to 255. Do not earn a bonus life, as it will set the number of lives to zero. Note: This trick only works in the Taito version of the game.

Play Pac-Man:
Press Up, Up, Up, Down, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Left at the game selection screen, then start either game.

Galaga Arrangement
Press Left, Right, Left, Right, 1, 2, 1, 2 before pressing Start at the Galaga Arrangement title screen. The Galaga Arrangement plaque will dim to confirm correct code entry.

Time attack mode:
Hold View Change and select a transmission type.

Dale Earnhardt Jr:
Highlight Dale Earnhardt (#3) at the driver selection screen. Shift to Third Gear and press Brake.

Richard Petty:
Highlight Kyle Petty (#44) at the driver selection screen. Shift to First Gear.

Adam Petty:
Highlight Kyle Petty (#44) at the driver selection screen. Press Brake, shift to Fourth Gear, Neutral, Fourth Gear.

Team Sega track:
Note: This track is only available on machines that have had over 700 plays. Shift into Neutral, then insert your coin(s). Then, shift to Fourth Gear, Second Gear, First Gear, Third Gear, and press Brake at the track selection screen.

Cheat mode:
Press Turbo, Shoot, and Pass at the Tonight's Matchup screen to enter the following codes. The first number indicates the number of times Turbo is pressed. The second number indicates the number of times Shoot is pressed. The third number indicates the number of times Pass is pressed.
