King Of Fighters '96 Cheat Codes

Cheat mode:
Enter T&ESOFT in the tenth position on the registration screen. The following codes may now be enabled:

Quick menu
When resetting the game, hold Left + L and the Reset button to quickly return to the main menu.

View winning ceremony and credits
Hold Up + L and press the Reset button.

View trophy
Hold Down + L and press the Reset button.

Replay shots:
Press the Reset button before the shot lands, then select the "Continue" option on the title screen.

Hint: Getting the flamethrower: Climb the first set of stairs, then stand next to the left side bookcase. Walk behind the bookcase to enter a room. Use the door to leave and go outside. Move down to find flamethrowers on each side of the building. Go to the pistol box and switch to the flamethrower.

Fight as Boss against CPU:
Press Left(3), Right(3), Left(7) at the game selection screen. The sound of an explosion will confirm correct code entry. The Vs. mode option will be highlighted. Press Start to display a new character selection screen. Any character may be chosen to fight the CPU.

Fight as Boss against player two:
Press Left(3), Right(3), Left(7) and reset the game at the game selection screen. Return to the game selection screen and press Right(3), Left(3), Right(7), Start. The sound of an explosion will confirm correct code entry.

Slow motion:
Press Start on controller two during a one player game.

Change characters: Press Start to pause game play then press Up(2), Down(2), Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A. A sound will confirm correct code entry. When the game is resumed, you will change into another character. Repeat the code to cycle through the characters. This code can also be used in two player mode, but will only change characters to the one not already in use. Information in this section was contributed by .

Control Rudy:
Press Down, B, Left, B, Up, Y, Right, Y when "Push Start" appears at the title screen. A chime will confirm correct code entry. Defeat the Boss (Felina). Use controller two to play as Rudy after returning to town.

Gamer skill level:
Highlight the "Game Level" selection under the options screen. Hold A + X on controller two, and press the D-pad on controller one to change difficulty levels until the Gamer level appears.

Easy money:
Use a fully armed A-10 Thunderbolt for the green truck missions. Constantly bomb the trucks while firing.
