Cheat mode:
Press Select + A, release both buttons, then press Select + B at the title screen. Repeat these entries until a sound is played to confirm correct code entry. Begin game play and enter one of the following codes to activate the corresponding cheat function.

Temporary invincibility
Hold Select and press Right.

More gold
Hold Select and press Left.

Jumping Shoes
Hold Select and press Up.

Full life
Hold Select and press Down.

More lives (up to 99)
Hold Select and press Up/Right.

Power-up weapon
Hold Select and press Down/Left.

Moon Mirror
Hold Select and press Up/Left.

Zap energy
Hold Select and press Down/Right.

Three extra lives:
Press Up(2), Down(2), Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A at the title screen. Then, press Start to begin the game in single player mode or Select + Start to begin in two player mode.

Thirty lives per continue:
Press Up(2), Down(2), Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A before the demonstration begins at the title screen. Then, press Start to begin the game in single player mode or Select, Start to begin in two player mode.

Continue game play:
Hold A + B + Select and press Start at the game over screen.

Thirty lives:
Press Up(2), Down(2), Left, Right, Left, Right, A, B, Select, Start while the Contra Force title screen is scrolling down after the NES is powered on. Note: For a two player game, press Up(2), Down(2), Left, Right, Left, Right, A, B, Select(2), Start

Hint: Easy Boss kills:
Begin game play in single player mode. Summon a CPU assistant and move to a safe location. Repeat this procedure until the Boss is defeated.

Hint: Survive falls:
If your character falls into a pit, immediately press Start to pause game play. Hold A and press Start to jump out of the pit and save a life. This can also be used as a super-jump to reach high places in other parts of the game.

Hotel Plaza bonus level:
Press A, B(2), A, Left, Right, Left, Right at the title screen A triangle will appear in the top left corner to confirm correct code entry. The Hotel Plaza level will now appear at the level selection screen.
