Retro mode:
Drive in the town and go to the location of the drag race. Accelerate and follow the markings in the middle of the road to reach a square with a "under construction" sign in the middle. Get some speed and drive straight through the square, which is a jump ramp to reach the clock tower and activate retro mode.

Hint: Treasure Island:
Play in two player mode and choose Chicken Race. You should see a floating rock on your left hand side. Using your fastest vehicle, jump onto it at full speed. You cannot use default Choro Q. If successful, you should reach an island. Carefully go along the beach and you will reach a cave. Inside it, you should see a chest that will talk to you. Note: To read messages, keep both controllers idle.

City directions:

Red City (future): Go straight until it dead ends, where you will turn right until you reach the city.

Green city (future): Left, right, straight, right, straight, left.

Yellow city (future): Two rights

In-game reset:
Hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 + Select + Start during game play.

Character preview:
Enter the main menu and go into the status screen. Pick a character and you should see that person. Press Triangle and a list of commands to change the camera view will appear. Press Square to change poses.

A new option will appear after completing the game for the first time. Use this option and load a saved game to restart with items obtained in the previous game. Complete this special game to view an alternate ending sequence.
