Illegal kick:
Press Triangle + Circle + X + Square during a match to illegally kick your opponent in the midsection.

Illegal head butt:
Press R1 + R2 and press Triangle during a match.

Illegal low punch:
Press R1 + R2 and press X during a match.

Illegal kidney punch:
Press R1 + R2 and press Circle during a match.

Illegal elbow:
Press R1 + R2 and press Square during a match.

Soundtrack:
Play track two of the game disc in an audio CD player to hear music from the game.

TwinBee mode (Gradius):
Highlight "Gradius" on the game menu, hold Select, then choose that game.

Level select:
Highlight Russia and press Right at the level select screen with the globe. Hold X + Down/Left before the Japanese mission details appear. The globe will begin to bounce through the levels. Release the buttons when a specific level is displayed to play that stage.

True ending:
As the shield generator is blown up on the final level (Japan), walk into the center of the explosion for a hidden level and the true ending of the game.

Cheat mode (PAL version):
Press L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 + Select on controller two to enable cheat mode. A sound will confirm correct code entry. The following codes may now be activated.

Temporary invincibility:
Press Right, Down, L1, R2, R1, Circle, Triangle, Square during game play. Note: For the PAL version of the game, press R1, Circle, Triangle, Square during game play.

30,000 extra points:
Press Square, Up, Down, L2, R1, Triangle, X, Triangle during game play.

Bonus level:
Press Triangle, Up, Triangle, L2, L1, L2, Square, X during game play.

Toggle motion blur effect:
Press Right, Circle, L2, Circle, R1, Circle, Square, Circle during game play. Note: For the PAL version of the game, press Right, Circle, L2, Circle, R1, Circle, Square, Circle, Right, Down, L1, R2 during game play.

Extra time in time trial mode:
Press Circle, L1, Triangle, Triangle, Circle, X, Triangle, Down during game play in time trail mode to add thirty seconds to the timer. Note: This may only be done once per level.

Chess pattern background:
Press L1, Circle, Left, Right, L2, Left, R2(2) during game play.

Bonus level cleared:
Press Right, Circle, Square, L1, Square, Circle(2), Square during game play.

Bonus levels:
Successfully complete all 150 regular levels, then select "1 Player" from the main menu. Select "The Final" option that appears to play the bonus levels.

View Ending:
Hold Start + Select on controllers one and two during the duration of the "Now loading" screen with the image of all the characters. Then, press Select, Left, Right, or Square.

No field boundaries:
Press Circle(2), X, Left when the team match-up is displayed while the upcoming game is loading to remove the field boundaries.

Cheat mode:
Press Turbo, Jump, and Pass to change the icons below the helmets on the versus screen. The numbers in the following list indicate the number of times each button is pressed. After the icons have been changed, press the D-pad in the indicated direction to enable the code. The name of the code and a sound will confirm correct code entry. Example, to enter 1-2-3 Left, press Turbo, Jump(2), Pass(3), Left.

Bonus item shop:
Highlight the "Buy" option and press Up, Left, Right, Down, Right, Right, Circle.

All secret items:
Highlight the "Buy" option and press Left, Up, Down, Right, Left, Select, Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, Select, Circle. All secret items including Langrisser and Alhazzard will be available.

Level select:
Select the "Load" option. Highlight any level except the starting level and press Right, Down, Up, Left, R1, Square, Start, Select, Triangle, Circle. Press Left or Right to select a new level for game play.
