Original Asteroids mini-game:
Hold Select and press Circle(3), Triangle, Square(2), Circle when "Press Start" flashes at the title screen. The sound of an exploding asteroid will confirm correct code entry. Press Start and select the "Classic Asteroids" option on the main menu.

Extra life (Original Asteroids mini-game):
Press Start to pause game play, then press Up, Down, Left, Right, Circle, Square, X, Triangle.

99 lives (Original Asteroids mini-game):
Press Start to pause game play, then press Up, X, Down, Triangle, Left, Square, Right, Circle.

Invincibility (Original Asteroids mini-game):
Press Start to pause game play, then press Down(2), Up(2), Circle, Square, Triangle(2).

Invincibility:
Hold L1 + R2 + Select + Triangle at the "Start Up Engine" screen.

Bonus characters:
Successfully complete the game as every character under a two or greater star difficulty setting to unlock two bonus characters.

Secret character:
Quickly press [Up(2), Down(2), Left, Right, Left, Right, X, Circle] three times after hearing "Suta Ato, Oshite ne" spoken. A clashing sound will confirm correct code entry. Enter the character selection screen (not story mode), and press R1.

Play as Shinobu:
Choose a difficulty of two or three stars and complete the game without using any continues. Fight Shinobu to complete the game. Go to Vs. mode and press R1 or R2 to play as her.

Play as Genichiro:
Successfully complete the game as Shinobu without using any continues.
