Big jumps:
Press Square, Right(2), Down, Up, Down, Left, Down(2) during game play. A beep will confirm correct code entry. Enter the code again to disable this mode.

Debug mode:
Press Square, Up, Down(2), Square, Circle(2), Triangle, X during game play. A beep will confirm correct code entry. Once debug mode is active, enter one of the following codes during game play to activate the corresponding feature:

Win current race
Press Select + X

Change view
Press Select + D-pad

Zoom in or out

CPU control of player's car

Additional races:
After completion of the "Beginner", "Tricky", and "Difficult" groups, an "Advanced" group of races will become available.

Turbo start:
Begin to accelerate just before the second beep. If timed correctly, you will begin the race with a turbo start. The phrase "turbo start" will appear to confirm correct trick entry.

Maximum power specials:
Choose the "Secret Options" selection at the options screen, then hold Select and press Square, X, R1, Circle, Up, Square, Down, Up, Down, X, Square.

Motion blurring:
Choose the "Secret Options" selection at the options screen, then hold Select and press Triangle, Circle, Right, Triangle, Up, Right, Circle, Up, Square.

Better enemy AI:
Choose the "Secret Options" selection at the options screen, then hold Select and press Circle, Up, Triangle, Circle, Left, Triangle, Square(2), X, Down.

All 32 standard tracks:
Choose the "Secret Options" selection at the options screen, then hold Select and press Triangle, Circle(2), Triangle, Down, Up(2), Down.

Unlimited power-ups:

Slow CPU opponents:

Play as Dynamo:
Finish in first place on all eight tracks on the first two rows of the grid in challenge mode.

Play as Roach:
Finish in first place on all sixteen tracks in the first four rows of the grid in challenge mode.

Play as Toxin:
Finish in first place on all twenty-four tracks in the first six rows of the grid in challenge mode.

Play as Project-X:
Finish in first place on all thirty-two tracks on the grid in challenge mode.

Banzai Bridge track:
Finish in first place on all four tracks on the first row of the grid in challenge mode to unlock the Banzai Bridge track in time trial or multi-player versus modes.

Hygiene Highway track:
Finish in first place on all twelve tracks on the three rows of the grid in challenge mode to unlock the Hygiene Highway track in time trial or multi-player versus modes.

Disorient Express track:
Finish in first place on all twenty tracks on the five rows of the grid in challenge mode to unlock the Disorient Express track in time trial or multi-player versus modes.

A-Maze-Ing Race track:
Finish in first place on all twenty-eight tracks on the seven rows of the grid in challenge mode to unlock the A-Maze-Ing Race track in time trial or multi-player versus modes.

Slippery mode:
Finish in first place on all tracks in the fourth row from the left.

Nanomaniacs:
Finish in first place on all tracks in the third row from the left.

Turbo vs. Freeplay:
Finish in first place on all tracks in the second row to the left.

Aussie mode:
Finish in first place on all the tracks on the first row from the left.

Hint: Easy win:
Go to craps and bet on snake eyes (1-1). You will win every time. Exit after you have won, then return and win again.

In-game reset:

Hidden shop:
Successfully complete level 6 in story mode, then select the top right corner of the screen.

Alternate cars:
Select Retsuya, Retsu, Go, Ryo, J, Tokuichi, Rion, Mikhail, Huan, Juliana, or Nieminen, then press L1 or R1 at the car selection screen.

Phantom-Blade car:
Successfully complete story mode with Knuckle Breaker. Then, defeat the Phantom-Blade car in the next challenge to make that vehicle selectable.

Vise Intruder car:
Successfully complete story mode with Max Breaker. Then, defeat the Vise Intruder car in the next challenge to make that vehicle selectable.

Ray Stinger car:
Successfully complete story mode with Fire Stinger and wait until the ending sequence completes. Restart the game and select the option under "Continue" to start a Ray Stinger versus Fire Stinger challenge. Defeat the Ray Stinger to make that vehicle selectable.

Secret mode two option:
Successfully complete story mode with Berkaiser (Eisen Wolf). A secret mode two selection will appear under the continue option. Sucessfully complete this new option to unlock the last two Berkaisers (Eisen Wolves).

Hint: Final stage:
The Boss' car is a exact duplicate of your own -- know your car wisely.

Hint: Easy money:
There is an easy way to collect money in the level where you must collect farm animals. Instead of rushing to collect the animals, kill off the bird-like robots. One way to do this is to shoot one from afar. When it rushes you, just strafe away from it. Then use your auto-lock to target it again and resume firing, and repeat if necessary. When you see the bird-bot appear, send your server bots to "collect" it. They will pick it up and throw it into the truck. This counts as an "other" thing collected .When sold, each bird gives you 500 Zenny and they always return.

Invincibility: Select the "Load Game" option, then enter YOUCANTKILME or IMINVINCIBLE as a password. Note: Ignore the "Bad Password" response.

Glitch: Invisible walls:
Activate the "Super Jumps" code and begin game play on the first mission. When the mission starts, get over the crates and jump until you get to the back of the fence. Jump over the river. You are now in an area where some of the walls are invisible.

Mini-games:
Press Up(2), Down(2), Left, Right, Left, Right, X, Circle at the options screen. A wizard will fly across the screen to confirm correct code entry. Two hidden mini-game options will appear on the menu.

Super players:
Create a new player with the first name "A", no last name, heavy build, height of 60 inches, and zero for all attributes. Use the power swing to hit 606 foot home runs.

Super pitcher:
Select the Arizona Diamond Backs as a team, and created a player named REX BACA as a pitcher. He is able to throw a 142 mph fastball.

Super batter:
Select the Arizona Diamond Backs or Tampa Bay Devil Rays as a team with created players named MARK MEENAHAN or SCOTT MURRAY - they will always hit a home run.

Super player:
Enter Scott Murray or any other development team name as a player name at the player creation screen or during spring training.

Automatic strike:
Throw any pitch, then press Start to pause game play when the ball just reaches the batter. Resume the game. If done correctly, the batter will not swing at the ball.
