Hint: Easier specials:
Select the red Japanese text before starting a one-player game. This will allow you to execute specials as follows:

L1 + Any button (pick strong or weak) = Sailor Soldier's first attack
L2 + Any button (pick strong or weak) = Sailor Soldier's second attack
R1 + Any button (pick strong or weak) = Sailor Soldier's third attack
R2 + Any button (does not matter) = Sailor Soldier's ultimate attack

Soundtrack:
Place the game disc in an audio CD player and play track two and above to hear music from the game.

3DO logo clouds:
Press L2, R2, L2, R2, Square(2) at the stadium selection screen.

Weird clouds:
Press R2, L2, Square, L1, R1, Square at the stadium selection screen.

UFOs:
Press R1, L2, Square, L1, R1, Square at the stadium selection screen. UFOs will appear in the sky during game play.

Big softball:
Pause game play and press R1, R2, R1, R2, R1, R2.

Quick game:
Press Triangle to advance past non-interactive sequences.

Play as Zankuro:
Choose Vs. mode and enter the character selection screen. Highlight Haohmaru, hold Start, then highlight the following characters in order: Genjuro, Basara, Ukyo, Rimururu, Haohmaru, Shizmaru, Nakoruru, Hanzo, Amakusa, Gaira, Galford, and Shizmaru. Keep Shizmaru highlighted until the timer displays "03". When it reaches "03", press X + Circle. Zankuro's picture will appear in the center of the screen.

Instant special move:
Press L2 + R2 after the special meter has filled. Note: If the phrase "Times 2" appears, press L2 + R2 twice.

Alternate costumes:
Highlight any character in any mode and press X while selecting them.

Fight as Amakusa Shiro Tokisada (Samurai Shodown 1):
Use any character to successfully complete story mode and save the game. Enter versus mode, highlight the "?" on the character selection screen, then hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 and press Start.

Bonus options (Samurai Shodown 1):
Use any character to successfully complete story mode and save the game. Enter versus mode, highlight the "Option" selection on the main menu, then hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 and press Start.

Fight as Kuroko or Mizuki (Samurai Shodown 2):
Select versus mode. Press L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 at the character selection screen. Move to the right to play as Mizuki or to the left to play as Kuroko.

Omake mode:
Complete the game with one character. An Omake mode option will appear, allowing the side story of the character to be displayed.

Alternate colors:
Press Back, Forward, Down/Forward, Down + Triangle at the character selection screen, to change from the slash colors to the bust colors. Press Forward, Back, Down/Back, Down + Triangle to switch back.

Fight as Minto:
Successfully complete story mode with Ran Po.

Play as Daruma:
Successfully complete story mode with Haito Kanakura.

Play as Tashon Mao:
Successfully complete story mode with Garyo The Whirlwind.

Play as Oboro's Amazons:
Successfully complete story mode with Saya.

Play as Iga Ninjas:
Successfully complete story mode with Hanzo Hattori.

Play as Samurai:
Successfully complete story mode with Jin-Emon Hanafusa.

Play as Brute:
Successfully complete story mode with Jushiro Sakaki.

Play as Mugenji:
Successfully complete story mode with Yaci Izanagi.

Truck:
Select any car, then hold L1 until the race begins.

Buggy:
Select any car, then hold R1 until the race begins.

Hidden car:
Select any car, then hold R1 + R2 until the race begins.

UFO:
Hold R1 + R2 + L1 + L2 at the car selection screen and choose a car. Keep those buttons held and press X at the transmission selection screen. Then, hold Triangle until the race begins.

Alternate car colors:
Press Square at the car selection screen.

Crystal Cup:
Enter GLASSX as a password.
