Turn off HUD: Pause game play and press Left, Square(4), Up, Triangle (3), Right, Circle, Down, X, R1 + R2.

Playing an audio CD:
Using the HUD
Familiarize yourself with the mission objectives and their locations by cycling through the HUD display and identifying them as primary targets. Identify the hostile targets in the air and on the ground. Their approximate location is also on the HUD. Clear the area before attacking your targets. Use the HUD to line up your first target and fire. Always be aware of your location to prevent straying into a new hostile zone.

Light Flyer bonus jet:
Successfully complete the game with the normal ending. Note: Use Limit 500 or Unlimited modes.

Leo Copter bonus jet:
Successfully complete the game with the good ending. Note: Use Unlimited, Mirror or Reverse modes.

Foo Fighter bonus jet:
Successfully complete the game with the Light Flyer and Leo Copter bonus jets. Note: Use Unlimited, Mirror or Reverse modes.

The Fly bonus jet:
Successfully complete the game with the Foo Fighter bonus jet. Note: Use Unlimited, Mirror or Reverse modes and destroy all the balloons in the bonus level.

Hints:

Until it is safe to attack, block the enemies attacks.

Always keep some apples/rocks/flaming swords/etc. on you. You never know when you might need them.

Try to get all the Genie Tokens in order to get lives/continues/full health, etc. at the end of the level

Azzuri team:
Press L2, Up(2), Right at the team selection screen.

All teams:
Press L2, Left, R2, R1, L2, Right at the team selection screen. Then highlight "Europe" and press Left to access any bonus team.

Hint: Recommended teams:
The best team to choose when first starting include Arsenal, Chelsea, Leeds, Liverpool, and Manchester Utd.

Goal keepers: Buffon and Abbiati
Defenders: Carragher, Woodgate, Gavin, and Kaladze

Level select:
Enter G0LVLxx, where xx corresponds to the number of the desired level, as a password. The phrase "Cheat Activated" will appear after the "Accept" option is selected to confirm correct code entry. Select the "Quit" option and start the game with just the pistol. Note that starting at level 34 will display the end sequence of the game.

God mode:
Enter 1GOTP1NK8CIDBOOTSON as a password. All weapons, unlimited ammunition, invincibility, and access to every level will be available. A new option on the title screen will allow the display to be toggled between NTSC and PAL. Note that saving the game to a memory card will only save weapons and ammunition.

Power shotgun:
Pause the game and press Triangle, Circle(2), Square.

Soundtrack:
Enter one of the following passwords to begin game play at the corresponding level under the Xenomania difficulty setting.

Bonus teams:
Select exhibition mode, then press L2 + R2 at the team selection screen to unlock the Dingers and Islanders teams.

Big head and feet:
Hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 during game play.

Change crowd's sound:
Enable "Big head and feet" mode. Then hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 during game play to speed up or slow down the crowd sound. To stop the crowd sounds, pause game play, then resume.

Hint: Make weak units useful:
As you press forward, you will capture cities and towns. Your units will also become weaker as they take damage. When a particular unit's strength is at 1, 2, or 3 (the number below the unit icon on the battle "map"), place the unit in a city you captured. Since the city has to be unoccupied for the enemy to reclaim it, your weaker units will become more useful, especially if the weaker unit is a tank force. However, make sure that you rebuild some units, as having all your weak units guarding a city is pointless; you should have no more than three or four in the city, so the stronger units can come back from the front lines to defend the captured city.
