Hint: Enemies:
Former Soldiers: They resemble your old friends, but now they just fire pistols at you. They drop clips for the chaingun and pistol when killed.
Former Sergeants: Meaner and tougher. They carry shotguns and do more damage then soldiers. They drop shotguns when killed.
Imp: This creature throws fireballs and takes more bullets to kill.
Demon: Appear in most areas and can rip your head off if you are not careful. If you see more of them, use the chaingun.
Cacodemon: These creatures are ugly and have one big mouth. If they see you, they will fire lightning balls from their mouth. Use your rockets.
Mancubus: You have to use more then a chaingun to kill them. Use ammo with caution.
Arachnotron: Fires plasma energy at you. Use your rifle.
Spider Demon: The ultimate enemy. Has a super chaingun mounted on her body. Use your plasma rifle or rocket launcher.
Glitch: Pain Elemental:
When you kill the Pain Elemental (the yellowish monster
that flies and shoots Lost Souls at you), it should explode to
release many Lost Souls as it does in Doom and Doom
2, but it does not.
Original mode:
Successfully complete the game to unlock the "Original
Mode" option, which allows the NES version of the game to
be played.
Dragon Warrior
Find the three tombs located next to the white magic
shop in Elfland. The tombstone farthest to the left reads:
"Here lies Erdrick"
"873-866"
"R.I.P."
Hint: Easy experience:
Northeast of the port town of Provaka is a two space
wide peninsula with enemies from the Northern Continent. They
offer a lot experience and are difficult to defeat unless you
are around levels 12 or 13.
Hint: Adamant location:
The location of the Adamant needed for Excalibur is
in the tower in the sky -- you need the chime and the cube. Go
in the tower and continue to the place with eight ways to travel.
Go in the bottom left diagonal and fight the enemy that guards
it. Open the treasure chest to get the Adamant.
Hint: Zeus Glove:
Go to Bahamut's cave. Once you first enter, go to the
bottom left part. The Zeus Glove will appear in the items screen
if you are lucky -- There is a 1/300 chance of finding it.
Hint: Invisible guard in castle:
In the first castle entered in the game, Castle Coneria,
above Queen Jane's room is what appears to be a room with no one
inside. Search around the room a bit, however, and you will realize
that you can talk to someone although they are not there. After
you rescue the princess, the message will change.
