Hint: Special stars:
When you chose either Mario Advance or Classic, there will be stars over the Mario brothers part that are equal to how many millions of points your high score is. For example, a high score of 2,163,170 will have two stars.

Hint: World 1-5: Coins:
After the first pool, go past the flower coming down and take the top path. When it goes straight up, jump on the left wall. An orange music block will appear. Jump on that to fly up and get hidden coins.

Hint: World 1-5: Extra life:
With a P-Wing or Raccoon Tail, take the top after the first pool and hit the orange block. When in the clouds, get your P-Meter up. After the third set of coins, go up. There will be a ring of coins around a block with an extra life.

Hint: World 2 pyramid: Hidden coins:
After you come out the final pipe near the black curtain, defeat the Boomerang Turtle, then go to the left of the pipe. Go up the blocks and there will be a "?" switch. Jump on that to get hidden coins.

Hint: World 5-1: Easy completion:
Get your "P" Wing meter all the way up at the beginning of the level. Fly up to a pipe and go in. When you come down the pipe, go to the bottom of the little maze thing. Duck, then fly up into the narrow straits of the maze. Do not get up until you are past every single strait. At the end of this, there will be a music box and the level will end.

Hint: World 6-8: Extra life:
At the "H" formed out of blue bricks, get on the top of the right stack. Do this by grabbing a block and killing the flowers, then run back and jump. Three spaces up is a hidden life.

Glitch: Brothers switched:
In "Mario & Luigi" mode, go to World 5. You can do this glitch with either Mario or Luigi, but for this example Mario will be used. Make sure that Mario is up in the clouds. With Mario, go into the pipe that leads to the ground, and hold Right when the level starts. He will fall down and die. Once he dies and you are with Luigi, press Select and choose "View Now" to watch your replay. Notice how it reads "Mario Start", and that Mario is red. However if you look closely at him, you will notice that he looks like Luigi. In the status bar, it will show Luigi's stats. Also, when he dies, he will say "Mama-mia" in Luigi's voice. After the replay, Luigi is where Mario was (at the pipe to the ground). Furthermore, the status bar is gone. Press L. Instead of the inventory appearing, the status bar will fall down repeatedly. None of the buttons work. Wait for the inventory to appear after the bar falls 128 times, or reset/turn off the Game Boy Advance. Note: This was done with a this with a 100% complete saved game file.

Play as Luigi:
Press R at the world map.
