Hint: House already filled with objects:
Take a single Sim and move them into 1, 2, or 3 Free Street. Then, fill the house with anything you can afford. Note: It is better to keep at least 100 Simoleans. After that, move another Sim into a different house on Free Street. Have the two Sims get married in the Sim that was moved in second's house. Make another Sim and move them into the house the first Sim used to live in. In that house will be everything that the previous owner had. The house will cost more, but you will have almost everything you wanted without having to buy it yourself.

Hint: Cheap fire alarm:
If you do not have the time to study Cooking and do not want to buy a Fire Alarm, do the following. When your Sim is hungry and needs to cook, save the game before doing so. If a fire starts, press Start and quit without saving. The fire will not be saved and it will be as if it had never happened. You can also do this with other things such as burglars, getting fired, etc.

Glitch: Ghost maid:
First, get the Gene Genie Incubator. When you make a Mutant Plant, water and feed it. After it grows to be as big as possible, put it anywhere in the house. Do not feed or water it for a few days. Eventually the maid will get eaten if she stands in front of it. Note: You must have a maid for this to work. A message will appear stating that the maid will rest in peace. After that, call up the maid agency. You will be asked if you would like to hire a maid for 10 Simoleons a day. Answer "Yes". The ghost maid is dark blue and her clothes are black. Before she appears, about 7:00, strange music will play. Note: Check to make sure it is not a stereo or television. In the early morning in Simoleon time, the ghost maid comes back (about every three days) and starts making wailing noises. You see smoke around her feet when she walks around; and she disappears and reappears at some points. You will also see her walking through walls. She also cleans when she goes to the house she was killed in.

Enable the Cheat Trophy code, then press L2, Circle, Down, Left, Up during game play.

All recipes unlocked:
Enable the Cheat Trophy code, then press R2, Square, Up, Down, Right, X during game play.

All fashions unlocked:

Dangleberries can be harvested in the Sproutch Couch.
Other fruits are harvested on a Frood Tree.
Golden eggs can be received from Chicken Checkers game.
Fish can be harvested from the Manilla 1000 Aquarium
Some vegetables can be harvested from the GenoLife Garden Hutch.

Hint: Free harvested food:
Use the following trick if you are in need of food and have very little money. Buy an item that can have food harvested from it. Harvest the food from it, sell it back, then buy another. This will keep you from having to spend money on food. Unless there is more than one sim in your house, you do not have to worry about the other Sim wasting money buying non-harvested foods.

Hint: Easy money:
When you need some money and own a "Defective Arcade Genie Lamp" you can keep making wishes and you will get money eventually. However, the genie can also cause fire and make all the characters in the area of the lamp to pee themselves if you make him mad. When he is mad he will come out of his lamp with red colored smoke beneath him. However, if he is giving you something good the smoke will be purple or pinkish. It is best to perform this when you first get a house so that you can get your money and not risk losing any items you have purchased. Note: If you talk with the genie, he gives you small advice and hints occasionally.
