Ex File Key 4:
Complete all 30 Coliseum challenges.

Ex File Key 5:
Successfully complete the game.

Ex File Key 6:
Damage a single enemy with at least 50,000 points.

Ex File Key 7:
Defeat all 235 opponents in the Monster Picture Book.

Ex File Key 8:
Win at least 200 battles.

Monster Encyclopedia:
Unlock EX File Keys 1, 2 and 3.

Character Encyclopedia:
Unlock EX File Keys 7, 8 and 9.

Character Voice Library:
Unlock EX File Keys 1, 4 and 7.

EX New Game:
Unlock EX File Keys 2, 5 and 8.

EX Status View:
Unlock EX File Keys 3, 6 and 9.

Opening and ending movies:
Unlock EX File Keys 4, 5 and 6.

Alternate Ex Files menu music:
Successfully complete the game and save when prompted. Load the cleared game file and open the Ex Files menu to hear new music.

Cheat mode:
Hold Square and press Up, Circle, Down, Circle, Left, Right, Left, Right, Circle at the options screen . Note: In the Japanese version, hold Square and press Up, Triangle, Down, Triangle, Left, Right, Left, Right, Triangle. A new window titled "Secret" should appear at the bottom of the options screen to confirm correct code entry. Go to single player mode and enter your name as NORTHEND. A voice will say "Wild Wild Racing" to confirm correct code entry. Select the "Top Secret" option at the "Secrets" screen to unlock all courses, cars and the ice cream van and cow catcher (UFO).

Quick start:
Press X to accelerate when "1" appears during the pre-race countdown.

Better engine:
Successfully complete the game in time attack mode to unlock a better engine.

Alternate appearance:
Successfully complete all green/blue square tricks to unlock two additional sets of paint.

All multi-player characters:
Quickly press Up, Down(2), Right(3), Left(4), then hold Circle and press Start at the "Press Start" menu. The sound of a gunshot will confirm correct code entry. All the Bosses as well as the engineer and a few army characters will be unlocked in multi-player mode. Most of the Bosses have odd guns and may not be able to back up against walls or roll. Alternatively, successfully complete the game under the easy and normal difficulty settings. Note: The code must be entered before demonstration mode begins.

Bonus multi-player characters:
Successfully complete the game with an "A" rank on all missions under each game's difficulty setting.

Extra Options:
Successfully complete the game. The "Extra Options" menu allows the game's movies and music to be played.

Follow the Line! mini-game:
Complete Piglet's and Roo's birthday adventures in Adventure mode.
