Hint: Casino Park: V.I.P. table:
Just past a certain checkpoint, you will see lasers guarding a room. To turn them off you would have had to hit a switch on the previous pinball table (the one just before it). On that pinball table, the switch for Team Sonic is on the pinball table that you have a bird's-eye view of, above the slot machine. You can get to the bird's eye view table by taking the red slides on the left or right side of the regular pinball table. Note: This is the pinball table before the checkpoint. Once on the bird's-eye view table, take the boosters to the very left or right, then drop from the center of the top. There should be a switch in the middle of the green bumpers. Once past the lasers, there is a switch that you must pull in the room they were originally guarding. This will activate a trail of rings that you can use Light Dash on. They will lead to a cannon that shoots you to the V.I.P. table. For Team Chaotix, just have Espoi turn invisible and walk through the lasers. There will be a teleportation flower. For Team Dark, the switch is on the regular pinball table, but near the exit to the pinball table near the robots.

Hint: Easy special stages:
To easily get the Emerald, use Team Sonic or Team Dark. Use Team Rose if you want to easily get the key.

Hint: Team Blasts:

Team Sonic: ?

Team Dark: Chaos Inferno. Temporarily stops the time after the Omega's Blast is fired.

Team Rose: Flower Festival. After the blast is executed, every team member increases in level by one and becomes invulnerable for a short period of time.

Team Chaotix: Chaotix Rectical. After the blast is executed, each enemy destroyed will give you a certain number of rings.

Hint: Team Blast added effects:

Team Sonic: After the Team Blast, until the Team Blast gauge goes down to zero, switch to Fly formation and press Square to use an attack similar to the Light Attack in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle to finish off all remaining enemies.

Team Dark: Time will be frozen until the Team Blast gauge is down to zero.

Team Chaotix: You will receive rings for each enemy destroyed by the Team Blast. Also until the Team Blast gauge goes back down to zero, you will receive rings for each additional enemy destroyed.

Team Rose: Each team member will receive a level up and they will be invincible until the Team Blast gauge goes back down to zero.

Speed
Level 0: Short Homing attack. Attacks not powerful.

Level 1: Homing attack extends. Attacks do 2 HP damage; slightly faster.

Level 2: Homing attack extends again. Attacks can kill some enemies; slightly faster.

Level 3: Homing attack is very long and also acts as a tornado attack ( able to take off shields, climb poles, fly flowers), rocket accel does the same. Kills almost all enemies; very fast, sometimes uncontrollable on loops.

Power
Level 0: Does a twin attack with no control, but still powerful.

Level 1: Add a third attack that can control back and forth easier. Pressing Square very quickly does a quick two punch, but not a combo attack.

Level 2: Third attack has become stronger; control is much easier.

Level 3: Third attack can take out multiple enemies at once like a Team Blast; control is very easy.

Fly
Level 0: Thunder Shoot can only paralyze and do one half HP damage. Does 1 HP damage to flying enemies then paralyze.

Level 1: Thunder Shoot still does one half HP damage and paralysis does 2 HP damage to flying enemies, then paralyzes and flies further.

Level 2: Thunder Shoot kills all flying enemies and does 1 damage and paralyzes ground enemies; flies even further.

Level 3: Thunder Shoot kills all enemies and flies even further. Paralyzes unbreakable (only broken with power type armor ), and paralyzes unbreakable power type flying armor enemies.

Unlocking Bare Knuckle 3:
Note: This game is only available in the Japanese version of Sonic Gems Collection. You must have already unlocked Vectorman and Vectorman 2, as well has have accumulated over a total of twelve hours of game time in Sonic Gems Collection. Then, play Bare Knuckle 2 at least one time, or play a combination of any other games over seventy times.

Fight as Ash:
Hold Square immediately after giving the ending hit to Ash until the next part of the level starts. Then, intentionally lose all your lives. Choose to continue and Ash will be a selectable character.

Fight as Shiva:
Hold X immediately after giving the ending hit to Shiva until level 2 starts. Then, intentionally lose all your lives. Choose to continue and Shiva will be a selectable character.

Time Attack mode options:
Complete the game, then restart the game in "Time Attack" mode. The following options will be available if the "Time Attack" game can be completed within the corresponding time limit.

Music test
Complete "Time Attack" mode within 37:27:57. A "D.A. Garden" option will appear to the left of the "RAM Data" option on the main menu. The Planet of Mobius will be displayed.

Play bonus levels
Complete "Time Attack" mode within 30:21:05, then press Left at the "Time Attack" screen.

View video sequences

Play as Super Sonic:
Collect all seven Chaos Emeralds from the first four courses. To collect a Chaos Emerald, you must collect it and finish in first place in that race. Then press Down while highlighting Sonic at the character selection screen.

Play as Mecha Knuckles:
Collect all five coins in Radioactive Factory, and finish in first, second, or third place. Then, defeat Mecha Knuckles in a race.

Play as Mecha Robotnik:
Collect all five coins in Regal Ruins and finish in first, second, or third place. Then, defeat Mecha Robitnik in a race.

Play as Mecha Sonic:
Collect all five coins on Resort Island and finish in first, second or third place. Then, defeat Mecha Sonic in a race.

Play as robot form character:
Get the five Sonic coins in the following levels:

No gravity:

Cheat mode:
Press Square, X(2), Square, Down, Square, X(2), Square at the Vectorman options menu. Another options screen with level, health, lives, and power-up weapon settings will appear. Note: The good ending cannot be achieved if cheats are enabled.

Full health:
Pause game play and press Square, X, Right, Square, Circle, Square, Down, Square, X, Right, Square.

Level bonuses:
Complete a level without shooting any targets for a point bonus. Complete a level without using photons for a photon bonus.

Slow motion:
Pause game play and press Down, Right, Square, Circle, Up, Left, Square. The game will slow down when Vectorman is hit. Repeat the code to revert back to normal speed.

Free movement:
Pause game play and press Circle, Square, Left(2), Square, Circle, Square, X. Vectorman will transform into a cursor that can be moved to any location in the level. Opponents, except for Bosses, are eliminated if they are touched by the cursor. Repeat the code to revert back to normal mode. Note: Enable this code when Vectorman is a bomb for invisibility and invincibility for the remainder of the level.

Unlocking Vectorman 2:
Play Vectorman once. Alternately, Alternately, accumulate a total of seven hours of game time in Sonic Gems Collection.

Full health:
Pause game play and press X, Square, X, Square, Left, Up(2).

New weapons:
Pause game play and press Circle, Square, Left(2), Down, Square, Down repeatedly until the sound of the orb weapon stops. Press Start to resume game play as a Fire Ant. Repeat this code to transform into the Shield Bug. Note: Playing the bonus rounds as a Shield Bug will result in invincibility.

Extra life:
Pause game play and press Right, Up, X, Square, Down, Up, X, Down, Up, X.

Level select:

Enable the "Level select" code two times. Select any stage that features Tails or Knuckles (such as stage 1). Accumulate fifty rings and visit Tails or Knuckles. Press X + Start when the special stage starts for the emerald.

Extra lives:
Accumulate fifty rings, enter the special stage, and get the emerald. Lose your current life, accumulate another set of fifty rings, and re-enter the special stage. Give the rings to the same character used the first time the special stage was entered. The same stage where the emerald was awarded will re-appear. Complete the stage for an extra life. Collect 100 rings for another extra life. Lost your current life and repeat this procedure.

Hint: Tails and Knuckles in Rusty Ruins Act 2:
When you get to the third part, immediate before the X Mark, go off the nearby cliff. Then, go down where the Bumblebee Badnik is located. Destroy that little object with the grass under it. Then, you can get to Tails. On the first part, go to where the Blue Shield is located, next to the first exit. Collect 50 Power Rings, then Spin Dash into that wall that looks pushed back slightly. If you won all the Special Stages so far, with six Emeralds you will get the Last Chaos Emerald.

Sonic The Hedgehog And Knuckles
Start a game with Sonic. Run over to where the Super Shoes power-up and Madmole creature are right next to each other. Directly to the right of the Madmole is a pulley mechanism that takes you to the next level above by pushing Down on it repeatedly. Grab a hold of its left handle, but instead of pushing down, push the follow sequence while on it: Left(3), Right(3), Up(3). The sound of a chime will confirm correct code entry. After hearing the chime, press Start to pause game play, then press Square. You will be sent back to the Sega logo and title screen. Wait for the introduction sequence to end, then when the selection for choosing Sonic or Knuckles appears, press Start while holding Square.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 And Knuckles
Enter the "Level select" screen. Choose sounds 1, 9, 9, 4, 1, 0, 1, 8 (in that order). Highlight a level, then press X + Start.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 And Knuckles
Enter the "Sound Test" screen. Choose sounds 1, 6, 7, 7, 7, 2, 1, 6 (in that order).

Sonic The Hedgehog 3 And Knuckles
Begin game play at Angel Island Zone Act 1. Grab one of the swings that you hang on, then press Left(3), Right(3), Up(3) while Sonic is swinging. A sound will confirm correct code entry. Pause game play and press X to return to the title screen. Press Down(2) to access the sound test option. Select that option to play any sound or choose any level.

Sonic The Hedgehog 3 And Knuckles
Activate debug mode then go to Hydrocity Zone Act 2. Near the end of that Act, at the part were Knuckles hits the switch which makes you fall near a fan which blows you to Eggman, enter debug mode and press Down. Go as far down as you think is needed to pass Eggman without fighting him. Then, go to the right. When you think that you are past Eggman, go up. While still in debug mode, keep going to the right until you reach a place that looks like the beginning of Hydrocity Zone Act 2. Their will be no rings, spikes, badniks, etc.; but only floors, loops, and that blue slide.

Level select:
Press Square, Down, X, Down, Circle, Down, Square, X, Up, Square, Circle, Up, X, Circle, Up at the options screen. Enter one of the following controller actions to start at the corresponding level.

Level 2 (Lava Powerhouse)
Hold Square and press Start.

Level 3 (The Machine)
Hold X and press Start.

Level 4 (Showdown)
Hold Circle and press Start.

Multi-ball stage:
Collect all the rings on a level and use the gate that appears to be a large shining ring.

Unlimited lives:
Locate the barrels in the Toxic Caves stage. Jump in a barrel and move toward the wall opposite the emerald. Jump out of the barrel and intentionally lose a life while returning to that barrel. Sonic will seem to die twice before re-appearing at the start of the level. The phrase "Launching Extra Ball" will appear allowing unlimited lives to be accumulated.

Cheat mode:
Press Up, Down, Left, Right at the game's title screen. A chime will confirm correct code entry. Hold Square and press Start. Choose your starting level.

Debug mode:
Press Up, Circle, Down, Circle, Left, Circle, Right, Up, Circle, Down, Circle, Left, Circle, Right, Circle at the game's title screen. Then, hold Square and press Start. Begin game play, then press X to enter debug mode.

All Chaos Emeralds:
Enable the "Level select" code. Select the "Bonus level" option on the level selection screen. Obtain the Chaos Emerald, reset the game, and repeat the process until all of them are in your possession. Allow the game to continue after obtaining the last Chaos Emerald to start in the Green Hill Zone.

Bonus points:
Complete Green Hill Zone 1-1 or 1-2 in 29 seconds or less to receive 50,000 bonus points.

Unlimited lives:
Collect the extra life at the very bottom of Green Hill Zone - Act 3. Accumulate 100 rings to obtain another extra life. Collect a third extra life located at the top of the loop-the-loop. Intentionally lose a life and repeat the process.
