Cheat mode:
Press \ during game play to display the console window. Type backdraft to enable cheat mode. Then, enter one of the following codes at the console window to activate the corresponding cheat function. Note: In other versions of the game, press | during game play to display the console window. Note: This is the pipe character, and not a upper-case "i" or lower-case "L".

Type: hocus during game play to activate cheat mode. The message "Cheats activated" will appear at the top left corner to confirm correct code entry. The following codes may now be used.

Medical problem select:
Highlight any patient and click on the "Select Patient" icon. Select the "Waiting Room" option from the "Go To" menu. Press P during the sequence that appears at the admit desk. The video will end and the hallway will appear. Move the pointer to the far left side of the screen until it turns into a red arrow that points to the left. Click the mouse button. Enter one of the four hundred medical problem numbers listed in the end of the players guide and press [Enter]. A patient with the corresponding problem will appear in the waiting room.

Level skip: Type moonunit at the picture of Albert Einstein to enable cheat mode. Then, press one of the following keys during game play to jump to the corresponding level.

Hint: Harkonnen: Attacking enemy bases:
When you attack an enemy base with Harkonnen use Gunships if possible. They are very powerful.

Hint: Atredes: Stopping sieges with Minitowers:
The Atredes Minitower unit (huge four-turreted mech) is extremely powerful. Use the following trick to stop the AI's siege with those Minitowers. Get several cheap AA units and an Advanced Carryall unit to pick up the Minitowers, which the AI never escorts. Place them carefully near the AA troops. That will keep the troops from hitting your Advanced Carryall. The Minitower will not be able to fire. This works best for the Ordos. If your Carryall is hit, then it will repair itself.

Hint: Sardukar: Using the Sardukar Elite against enemy shielded units:
Their laser guns will interact with the shields and blow up both the shielded unit and the Sardukar Elite unit.

Type hdires at the "Byzantium II" screen. Enter a resource type between 1 and 12 and press [Enter] at the cursor that appears. Enter a quantity number up to 999 and press [Enter]. Return to the main screen to find a cargo pod with the selected resource at the pointer position.

View entire planet:
Enter the "Byzantium II" screen while a unit is in orbit around a planet or is on the planet's surface with movement points. Type hdimap to view the entire planet and all units

View all planet maps:
Enter the "Byzantium II" screen while a unit is in orbit around a planet or is on the planet's surface with movement points. Type hdiview to view all planet maps.

Press [Ctrl] + [Alt] + C to display the console window, then enter one of the following case-sensitive codes to enabled the corresponding cheat function. Note: Some codes will require earlier versions of the game to function.
