Hint: Easy Specialists:

Gain new items:
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file;
create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text
editor to edit the "items.db" file in the "/digital
tome/siege of avalon/artlib/resources/database" directory.
Find the desired item. To get the item, go into the conversations
folder (in the resources directory). Go into one of the people
near you, and look for the heading [Intro] and place the "script=..."
line under it. Do not replace any other line.
Glitch: Invincible mage:
Select the mage when choosing character at the start
of the game. You will be given a quest to find a healing herb
in the village courtyard. Complete the quest return to the village.
Kill the Sha-ahoul scouts and warriors with the Electric Charge
spell. Go to one of the corpses, get all of its items and equip
them. A tower shield must be one of the items picked up. After
you are fully equipped, you cannot die.
Van Helsing Cheat Codes
Cheat mode:
Go to the options menu, select the "Enter Code"
option, then enter one of the following codes to activate the
corresponding cheat function.
| Effect | Code |
| Invincibility | mafioso |
| Unlimited ammunition | vinnie |
Cheat mode:
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file;
create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text
editor to edit the "options.ini" file in the game folder.
Add the following line to the file if it does not exist, or edit
the existing line to match:
SET DX_CONFIG_BULLET 100
Beginner fighting difficulty setting:
Intentionally die twice during game play under the
normal fighting difficulty setting. The fighting difficulty setting
can now be set to "Beginner" in the extra options menu.
Life display option:
Successfully complete the game under the hard difficulty
setting to unlock "Life Display" at the extra options
screen.
Hint: UFO ending:
Successfully complete game and unlock the Princess
Heart costume and the Heather Beam weapon. The Heather Beam is
a special weapon which you can only use if Heather or Cheryl is
not holding any weapon. Defeat all monsters and Bosses using only
the Heather Beam. Note: The "Monster defeated" counter
should read 0 kills.
Hint: Possessed ending:
Kill all monsters with any weapon except melee ones,
preferably the unlimited sub machine gun (a special weapon).
Hint: Extra interactive scenes:
To get extra scenes while playing the game, use a memory
card with at least one finished saved game file from Silent
Hill 2. New interactions with some objects and new scenes
will now be available. These scenes are similar or with some type
of reference to the previous game. For example, Heather trying
to look for something stuck into the toilet in the mall.
Hint: Douglas in underwear:
After successfully completing the game once, highlight
the "Extra New Game" option at the main menu and press
wwssqeqe [Esc] [Enter] (using the default control setting).
Heather will sigh after you choose a difficulty and riddle level
to confirm correct code entry. In some scenes when you see Douglas,
he will be wearing his underwear.
Hint: Death scenes:
There are multiple areas in the game where special
death scenes occur for your character if you trigger them.
In the hospital, allow yourself to be killed by the nurses. The screen will go black, and then it will show Heather lying on the ground, as a male doctor zombie shambles up, grabs and widely spreads her legs, and drags her off into the darkness.
At the final area, after Claudia kills Vincent and the exchange between Heather and Claudia ensues, equip a weapon and attack Claudia with it. Heather will then begin to bleed out and birth the "God". This is not really an ending, as it counts as a "Game Over", but is a gruesome ending nonetheless.
While in the subway, hop down onto the tracks and run all the way to the end of them, into the tunnel. Heather will be run over by the train, accompanied by nauseating sound effects.
When on the train, simply turn around and exit through the door in the rear of any car. Heather will be on the very end of the train. If you move forward towards the edge, a first-person cut scene will occur in which Heather falls from the train onto the tracks, and dies.
Hint: Unlock up to ten Extreme Action Mode
games:
Finish the game in hard action mode to unlock Extreme
Action Mode 1 (an increased difficulty mode). Finish Extreme Action
Mode 1 to unlock Mode 2, etc. Continue doing this until you unlock
the last one, Extreme Action Mode X. If you finish this last mode
you will be rewarded with the God Of Thunder T-shirt.
Hint: Bookstore: Puzzle:
When putting the books out of order, the solution is
4 5 2 3 1, under the normal action and normal riddle difficulty
settings.
Brand New Fear mode:
Successfully complete the game under any difficulty.
Save the game after the credits complete to unlock the "Brand
New Fear" option .
One Weapon mode:
Successfully complete the game with a rank of 10 big
stars.
Chainsaw:
Start a game in "Brand New Fear" mode. After
entering the Forest World for the first time go to Jasper's car.
Search near by for a cut tree trunk. Look next to it to find the
chainsaw.
Submachine gun:
Successfully complete the game with a rank of at least
9 big stars. Start a game in "Brand New Fear" mode and
look in Room 202 in the Apartment World to find a submachine gun
for Eileen.
Alternate Eileen costume:
Start a game in "Brand New Fear" mode. Continue
until the "Outside of Room 302" part of the game. Enter
Room 303 and search it for Eileen's nurse costume. Collect it
and complete the game. When you start a new game, you can now
have Eileen dressed as a nurse.
Alternate Cynthia costume:
Unlock all four endings and Eileen's alternate costume
on a single game save. Start a new game and select Eileen's nurse
costume. Cynthia will wear her alternate costume.
Hint: Mannequin body parts:
When you enter the forest for the second time, go to
the corner with the torch. Take the torch and take it to your
laundry room in your apartment. Use the oil found on the workbench
inside there on the torch. When you return, you may light it when
you approach the other torches pressing [Action]. This
is used to see down each well that happens to be in each corner
of the map. Be cautious however -- if you use the torch to attack
or unequip it, it will go out. This causes you to turn back to
light it. Killing all of the enemies first and running from the
man chasing you is recommended.
Hint: Pet shop massacre:
In Building world (second time), outside the pet shop
there should be pieces of paper scattered about. Walk up to one
and press [Action]. If done correctly, Henry should read
it. It will be a news report on a massacre which happened at the
pet shop, in which all the animals were gunned down by machine
gun. Once you have read it, you should hear animal noises and
gunfire coming from the shop. Enter the shop to find blood everywhere,
gun holes in the walls, and animal cages spread out everywhere.
Cheat mode:
Select the "Realism" icon at the "War
Patrol" screen. You can now toggle unlimited ammunition,
unlimited fuel, and invincibility options.
End mission successfully:
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file;
create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text
editor to edit the "sim.ini" file in the "\\ssi\silent
hunter ii\sim" folder. Add the following lines to the end
of the file:
[ULTIMATION]
cheat=TRUE
Hint: Extra credits (reown):
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file;
create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Enter the
"\sh3\data\cfg\careers\" folder. Select the name of
the folder that is the same as the career that you are using.
Use a text editor to edit the Microsoft Office Outlook config
file in that folder. Scroll down to your last mission details
and change the amount of reowns that you got paid. Save the file
and start the game. You can now buy the biggest and hardest subs
in the game.
