Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "user.ini" file in the game folder. Locate a key that is not already bound to a game function, such as "t". Add the "talk" command to that key. For example, "t=talk". Repeat this for all entries for that key in the file. Press T during game play, press [Backspace] to remove the word "Say" from the talk window, then type set DeusEx.JCDentonMale bCheatsEnabled True to enable cheat mode. Then, press T and enter one of the following codes to activate the corresponding cheat function. Note: It is helpful to talk to a key that is bound to the "set DeusEx.JCDentonMale bCheatsEnabled true" text so it does not have to be typed manually in every level.

Dance mix blowout:
Enable cheat mode, then use the open 99_endgame4 code. Once the level is finished loading, enable cheat mode, and use one of the following codes for hilarious blowouts:

Duplicate items:
Place an item in your belt. Take the item to be duplicated drop it on the ground. Walk away without leaving the screen, then click on the item again. As you pick the item up, click on an item in your belt immediately before taking the item on the ground. If timed correctly, the name of the item that was duplicated will appear in the box down below. It will have the same appearance as the item on the belt that was clicked on. Drop the item on the ground or place it in the back pack and it will re-appear correctly. However, do not create a second item of the same type and put both on the ground. If this is done, the duplicate item will be destroyed.

Duplicate large items:
Put the item to be duplicated on the ground. Put a mana potion or another item on your belt. Walk a few steps away, then click on the item on the ground. Right when you pick it up, click on the item placed on your belt. Drop it on the ground. If timed correctly, it should turn into the item to be duplicated, and the original one will be in your inventory. This also works with money. Do not put both the duplicated item and the original item on the ground,or one will disappear. Note: This cheat will not work if the inventory window is open.

Sound debug:
Press [Return] to open the chat screen, then type soundchaosdebug to activate the sound test. To return to normal, repeat the code. This also works in battle.net, and it will not show up as a message.

View debug information:
Start a game, press [Enter] to enter talk mode, then type /fps. The ping time, frame skip , and frames per second will appear in the upper left corner.

More experience:
Join a Battle.net or other multi-player game and join a party. You and your partner will share experience. The more people in the party, the more experience everyone gets.

Level skip:
Hold [Shift] and press [Esc] during game play.

999 food:
Hold [Apple] and press 1 during game play.

Begin at any point on track:
Hold [Shift] + [Option] and click on a track position before the race begins. Note: This will start the race at "-1" laps.

Turbo boost:
Quickly shift into first gear when the bike is in mid-air while the front wheel is higher than the rear wheel. Keep the throttle up as the bike returns to the ground. Note: The rear wheel must hit the ground first for the boost.

Hint: Enemies:

Former Soldiers: They resemble your old friends, but now they just fire pistols at you. They drop clips for the chaingun and pistol when killed.

Former Sergeants: Meaner and tougher. They carry shotguns and do more damage then soldiers. They drop shotguns when killed.

Imp: This creature throws fireballs and takes more bullets to kill.

Demon: Appear in most areas and can rip your head off if you are not careful. If you see more of them, use the chaingun.

Cacodemon: These creatures are ugly and have one big mouth. If they see you, they will fire lightning balls from their mouth. Use your rockets.

Mancubus: You have to use more then a chaingun to kill them. Use ammo with caution.

Arachnotron: Fires plasma energy at you. Use your rifle.

Spider Demon: The ultimate enemy. Has a super chaingun mounted on her body. Use your plasma rifle or rocket launcher.

Hint: Romero's head:
