Spawn items:
Press ~ to display the console, type pc_spawnthing <item name>, then press [Enter]. Values for <item name> are:

i_shield: Temporary shield

i_timestoptemporary: Freeze creatures

i_speed: Temporary speed run

i_inviso: Temorary invisibility

i_death: Temporary kill all power-up

i_health: Health icon

i_mana: Mana icon

key: Key

relicpiecespawn: Relic piece in a cage. Spawn five pieces in the vault and talk to the oracle to end the battle.

Edit starting character:
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "_start.wzd" file in the "wizards" folder in the game directory. Edit any of the attributes as desired.

Cheat mode:
Press I to stop and hover during game play. Type ratty or quick and press [Enter] to enable cheat mode. Then, enter one of the following codes to activate the corresponding cheat function.

Start the game with the carpet -<level number 1 - 50> command line.

Level passwords: Press [F2], then enter one of the following passwords.

Bonus songs:
Go to the left side of the classroom by clicking on the wind-up toy. Then, on the lower right locker and select the "Animal Chorus" game. Then, drag the two birds, two monkeys and jaguar, or two frogs into the jungle to hear one of three more songs in the game.

Hint: Defeat mages quickly in duels:
When you play Shanadalar, if your deck has the card in known as the Black Vice, when you put your first Mana out, play the card. That will help damage the enemy enough to win without even bothering to play a single monster. The other way to defeat them is to use the Cursed Rack, but then you would have to make sure that the enemy puts almost all their cards down before they can receive any damage.

Successfully complete Arcade mode as Evalisa.

Arcanis and Mestidin Collage level:
Successfully complete Arcade mode as Zadel.

Successfully complete Arcade mode as Alberon.

Ihsan's Shade and MoonDrift Hieghts level:

Successfully complete Quest mode using a preset duelist and deck. Note: You cannot use Mishra's pre-made deck, and may only use Mishra as an avatar.

Multani and Everfall level:
Successfully complete Arcade mode as Entorin.

Tsabo Tavoc:
Successfully complete Arcade mode with a custom deck. Note: You cannot use Tsabo Tavoc's pre-made deck, and may only use Tsabo Tavoc as an avatar.

Volita and Desolate Wasteland level:
Successfully complete Arcade mode as Kuldan.

Zadel and Drake Rookerie level:
Successfully complete Arcade mode as Ildaver.

Hint: Unlocking characters:
In arcade duel, when you win with a pre-set duelist on the first level you will unlock a new corresponding color character under him or her. For example, play as Keroc (first black duelist) and win all six fights with him. You will then unlock Mintora or someone to that effect. Win six fights with her and you will be able to play as Ishan's Shade. By playing as pre-set character on arcade mode, you will unlock a new character.

Hidden controls:
Hold [Ctrl] and click over the empty space in the top right corner.

In-game solution:
The folder "gamepack01" in the game directory contains the solution for the entire game in the file "solutions.zip". It contains recorded keystrokes that will automatically play the game. To open the file, you must register the game to get a password.

Free items, research, and staff:
Use the following trick to make all items, staff, and research available instantly and free. Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use Microsoft Excel to edit the .CSV files in the "\global star entertainment\mall tycoon 2\data\models\" directory that correspond to the items, shops, staff, etc. Delete the prerequisites, and change all costs to 0 (should be in Column O). Save file as its original name, and as a .CSV file. Note: If you need to, you must uninstall and reinstall the game to change it back to the original prices.
