Enter one of the following command line parameters to activate the corresponding cheat function.

Campaign mode cheat:
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "00000x.cpg" file in the "aos" directory, where "x" represents the specific campaign number. Look at the "main.oob" file to a list of ships by line number. Select a ship from that list, then place that number in the first column of the 00000x.cpg file. The second to last series of numbers in the column is crew rating, from 0 (best) to 4 (worst).

Mission skip:
The qsww during game play to complete the current mission.

Lose mission:
The qswd during game play to lose the current mission.

Cheat mode:
Start the game with the beatrix command line parameter. Then press [Ctrl] + [Shift] + C during game play. A sound will confirm correct entry. Enter one of the following codes to activate the corresponding cheat function.

Cheat mode:
Press [Ctrl] + [Shift] + C during game play. A sound will confirm correct entry. Enter one of the following codes to activate the corresponding cheat function. Note: The codes do not work between the Fire and Life stages.

Press [Ctrl] + [Shift] + S during game play. A sound will confirm correct entry. Enter one of the following codes to activate the corresponding cheat function.

All power-ups and extra lives:
Enter CLASSIFIED as a name on the high score screen. The name entry will change to "WRONG…" to confirm correct code entry. Begin a new game to start with all power-ups and 15 lives.

Extra weapons:
Enter Terminator (original version) or BlooDSporT (Macho edition) as case-sensitive names on the high score screen.

Cheat mode: Enter one of the following codes to activate the corresponding cheat function.

Cheat mode: Press [Esc] to pause game play. Press C and type one of the following codes at the password prompt to activate the corresponding cheat function. The word "Outstanding" will be spoken to confirm correct code entry.

Cheat mode:
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "ca.ini" file. Search for the word "cheats" to find the lines "infiniteammo=0" and "invulnerability=0". Replace the "0"' with "1" in both lines to enable those cheat functions.

Cheat mode: Log on with the name Viper to enable cheat mode. In addition to being able to select any mission, enter one of the following codes during game play to activate the corresponding cheat function.

Hint: Easy win:
Get the entire grid full of "O"s, then press each tile in order in a clockwise spiral direction, going inwards. This will turn them into "X"s. With a group of four tiles in a 2x2 pattern, pressing each one order turn will reverse them completely and have no effect on the surrounding tiles.

Cheat mode:
Press [F9] during game play to display the console window. Type one of the following codes, then press [Enter] to activate the corresponding cheat function.
