Tactical cheat mode (beta version):
Hold [Alt] and type tac cheat. The message bar will confirm that cheat mode has been enabled. Enter one of the following codes to activate the corresponding cheat function.

Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "user.ini" file in the "system" directory. Locate the "[XMenu.NewCharacterWindow]" heading, then make the following changes to alter the first game position with maximum health, weapons, abilities, power-ups, and all skins. Note: These entries are on a single line in the file.

Level select:
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "user.ini" file in the "system" directory. Change the value following "CurrMap=" to any of the 40 levels.

Hint: Extra damage:
Missiles and blasters can damage objects in squares that are directly next to the target due to fragmentation damage. This effectively extends their range by one square.

Hint: Remote attack:
Use an Etherals' psionic power to attack the most powerful opponent in range. The controlled target will fire at its own companions.

Cheat mode:
Press [Ctrl] + E or [Ctrl] + W and wait for a low double tone. Then, enter one of the following codes to activate the corresponding cheat function.

In-flight cheat mode:
Enable the "In-flight cheats" by using the battlecheats code. Then, enter one of the following codes to activate the corresponding cheat function.

Allow more saved games:
Hold [Shift] and click on the load/save game icons to open a normal save dialog window, allowing more than three saved game files to be used during the game.

Cheat mode:
Press [F2] during game play to display the console window. Type one of the following codes, then press [Enter] to activate the corresponding cheat function.

Cheat mode:
Select Cyclops and use his Optic Blast on Jean Grey, and then on your reflection. The cheat menu will be displayed.

Cheat mode:
Press [F10] to enter the options menu, then enter the configuration menu. Type spam to enable cheat mode.

Take more damage:
Type god at the message screen. The phrase "God mode enabled" will appear. Exit the message screen. The phrase "Sinister has changed the cheat code" will appear at the top left portion of the screen. In this mode, fighters will receive greater damage.

Fight as Juggernaut or Magneto:
Enable cheat mode. Enter the system menu and enable the "Boss Select" option. Save the modified settings. Start normal game and select a fighter and block mode. Hold all three punch buttons down (to fight as Juggernaut) or all three kick buttons (to fight as Magneto) just before the match begins to load. Release the buttons after the match finishes loaded.

Fight as Akuma:
Highlight Spiral, wait three seconds, press [Left], wait one second, press [Left], wait one second, press [Left], wait one second, then highlight Iceman. Then, press [Right], wait one second, press [Up], wait one second, press [Left], wait one second, press [Left], wait one second. Omega Red should be highlighted. Press [Down], wait three seconds, then press [LK] + [HP] + [HK]. Akuma fall onto the screen to confirm correct code entry.

Unlimited continues:
Enable cheat mode. Enable the "Free Play" option at the system menu.

All characters:
Press [Right] [Left] [Left] [Right] [Up] [Up][Up] [Esc] at the character selection screen at an Xtraction point where you usually save the game or switch characters.

All skins:
Press [Down] [Up] [Left] [Right] [Up] [Up] [Esc] at the team management screen.

God mode:
Press [Down] [Up] [Down] [Up] [Right] [Down] [Right] [Left] [Esc] at the character selection screen at an Xtraction point where you usually save the game or switch characters.

Level 99 characters:
Press [Up] [Down] [Up] [Down] [Left] [Up] [Left] [Right] [Esc] at the character selection screen at an Xtraction point where you usually save the game or switch characters.

Add one point to all skills:
Press [Left] [Right] [Left] [Right] [Down] [Up] [Esc] at the character selection screen at an Xtraction point where you usually save the game or switch characters.

Fast characters:
Press [Up] [Up] [Up] [Down] [Up] [Down] [Esc] during game play.

Extra melee damage:
Press [Left] [Left] [Right] [Left] [Right] [Up] [Esc] during game play.

Unlimited Xtreme tokens:
Press [Left] [Down] [Right] [Down] [Up] [Up] [Down] [Up] [Esc] during game play.

100,000 tech-bits:
Press [Up] [Up] [Up] [Down] [Right] [Right] [Esc] at the store run by Forge or Beast. The sound of tech-bits will confirm correct code entry.

Game cinematics:

All comics:
