Cheat mode:
Start the game with the nova9 sandman command line. Press [Alt] + 7 for full shields. Additionally, a level may now be replayed after losing all lives.

Cheat mode:
Hold [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [F6] during game play to display the console window. Then, enter one of the following codes to activate the corresponding cheat function.

Bonus level:
Type tomatoes during game play on level 1. A bonus level will start, with new enemies, bosses, sounds, and music. All special weapons can be obtained during this level. Game play will resume at the final level of the game after the level is completed.

Special mode:
Successfully complete the game.

Morgenstern bat:
Successfully complete the game, then start another game in special mode.

Laser-sight pistol:
Successfully complete the game under the normal or higher difficulty setting, then start another game in special mode. The first available gun will now be a pistol with a laser sight.

Alternate costumes:
Successfully complete the game, then start another game in special mode. Note: Only characters that survived will have an alternate costume.

FMV sequences:
Successfully complete the game to unlock a making of, behind the scenes, and two music videos.

Alternate menu background:
Successfully complete the game.

Gallery 1:
Successfully complete the game under the hard difficulty setting.

Gallery 2:
Successfully complete the game in special mode.

Cheat mode:
Hold [Shift] and press the following cursor keys at the main menu to activate the corresponding cheat function.

When falling off a cliff (not a pit), if you hit a wall while dropping you will land on your back and not die.

Hint: Freeze a fish:
To freeze a fish in its place, select "Create-a-Fish". After your fish is created, chase a fish. If it runs, press [Esc] to pause the game. Move the pointer over the fish, then and click and hold. If the caption states that the fish is "Looking for a place to hide", chase a different fish. If it states "Running from" your fish, resume game play. The fish will stay in the same place until eaten.

Enter one of the following codes at the indicated screen to activate the corresponding cheat function. A sound will confirm correct code entry.

Disable collision detection:
Hold C + [Ctrl] + Z and press the cursor keys to move without collision detection.

Hold down C + [Space] during game play.

Debug mode: To test if the debugging keys are active, press [F1]. If the mini-map appears, then the following debugging keys can be used.
