Hint: Defeating the crazy general:
The most effective technique is to slow down time and hit him with a full railgun shot; the alternate fire of the railgun; or the alternate fire of the shotgun. However, you must first disable his shield with an EMP grenade. Once done, you will do substantial damage. It will break into a intermission sequence and spiderbots will appear. Kill themm then resume fighting the general. If you have enough Bio Energy, repeat the previous tactic. If not, use the EMP, then the alternate fire of the railgun or shotgun. The shotgun is easier to hit him with, but does less damage. After you inflict more damage, walkers will appear. Destroy them with the method of your choosing (rocket launcher recommended). Then, once again resume the fight with the general. This is his last round -- spare no expense. Wear down or use an EMP on his shield, then kill him with massive fire power, or one of the alternate attacks of the railgun or shotgun.

Unlimited money:
Locate a trading station with space in your cargo hold. Select the "Buy Goods" option. Select any item other than "Stabilium". When prompted for a price, enter all 1's. Select "Suggest" to offer that number as a price. They seller will agree, the price will be changed to a negative number. Buy as many of the selected item as possible to add money to your account.

Hint: Defeating Jov Lenov - Master of Mind Control:
TK the MPs that Lenov is MCing and throw them at the machines. After you destroy all of the machines, Lenov will fight you. Just use your gun or TK the MPs and throw them at him.

Master code:
Enter the options menu and select the "Gallery" option. Highlight the "View Cut Scenes" option, then hold [Ctrl] and press [Up], [Down], [Left], [Right] to unlock all intermission sequences and bonus characters. A sound will confirm correct code entry.

Hint: Save points:
Instead or canceling or restarting an unsolvable puzzle, burst as many objects as possible or allow the time remaining to reach zero.

Bonus warp:
A warp will appear in the top left corner of the first level of every building after approximately one minute.

Resume at last location:
After losing the game, restart and press [Down] when level 1 of building 1 appears. The game will resume at the last building of the previous game with the score at 0 points.

Hint: Ranks:
The game starts with Q*Bert at rank 1. This is indicated by the number on the cube that Q*Bert stands on at the main menu. To reach rank 2, get over 60,000 points. To reach rank 3, get over 100,000 points. You can only change the color of the numbered cubes during game play if your rank equals or exceeds it.

Hint: Well Of Wishes secret:
This is a secret extra for the Crypt Of Decay (Episode 2 Map 3). After the spiked hall, go forward, turn backwards, then look to your right. There is a room there where you must take a leap of faith to cross. Get the quad and keep going towards the wall until you reach a hall. Enter it and go down and swim. The Dope Fish is at this location. Go to the left of the fish and shoot to find the exit to the secret level.

Hint: Lord Knight:
Start out with 9 STR, 9 AGI, 5 VIT, 1 INT, 5 DEX, 1 LUK. The best level for a novice to change jobs is level 25 to 30. As a Swordman, go to the Culverts level 2. Kill Planktons, Spores, Female Thief Bugs, and Thief Bugs. At level 35, start killing Tarous. At about level 45 to 52, go to level 3. Kill all the monsters there. At level 60 and above, go to Orc dungeon level 1. At level 65, go to level 2. Train there until your Job Level is 50. The recommended job change level is Blvl 71/Jlvl 50. As a Knight, go to Orc dungeon and get the skills desired. At about level 82 to 90, go to the Glast Heim Underprison level 1. Train there until level 99. To level up easier, get a +9 or +10 Liberation (Abyssmal Knight Card; recommended for Boss hunts), and Two-Handed Sword of Verserk (Doppelganger Card). Follow the Novice-Knight guide as described above. As a Lord Knight, it is recommended to have these stats: 99 STR, 99 AGI, 5 VIT, 1 INT, 25 or above DEX, and 1 LUK. The recommended equips for Boss hunts and WoE seiges are as follows:

In addition, put enough consists so the train will be waiting at the station and display "waiting for cargo." One good way is to put a consists that is not provided by station "A". Make sure the train schedule contains a destination for the train to go to. Resume game play. The train should load up the consists and go into "waiting for cargo" status. Double-click on the train to bring up the "Train Detail" screen. Click and enable the "arrow" on "Next Destination" so the train will begin its trek to the next scheduled destination. Now double click that next destination to bring up the car-consist list box and change the car consist -- add or delete, it does not matter. When you click "OK" to finish car-consist editing, you should hear an unexpected money-inducing "ka-ching!" The consist should gray-out to show the cargo has been delivered. If this is trans-country, the mandatory customs period will pass before you see the profit. If you click "Exit" from the train detail screen and go back to overland screen, you will note the train is still at station "A" -- yet the cargo has been delivered and the profit has been calculated. By using this technique, you can get the profit without the train actually running through the route. This trick is especially helpful if the stations are distanced far apart, or have natural obstacle (ocean or mountain) between them.
