Edit levels:
Use ResEdit to open the "BOOM Levels" file. Open the "levls" resource to access any of the 80 levels. Select a level to edit and change the time and the background image. Enter the following characters to change that feature.

X: Player one starting position
Y: Player two starting position
2: Destructible blocks
0: Space
1: Indesctructible blocks
3: Coins
A, B, C…: Various enemies

Bonus points:
Press [Space] to pause game play, then type macout. Alternatively, press [Space] to pause game play, then type mazout.

Cheat mode:
Press [Option] + 1 when game play begins. A cheat menu with level select and editor options will appear.

Level select:
Press L at the main screen to begin game play on a level from 1 through 10.

Secret poem:
Press X at the main screen.

Glitch: Go through wall:
On level 5 (where you can fly), hop on the dragonfly and run it directly into the wall. Try to position it so that you are caught in the wall. Jump up off the dragonfly then back down again so you land on the dragonfly. If done correctly, you will have passed through the wall. Try jumping off the ledge and walking back up. However, do not go too high up because the bats can still eat you.

Programmer names:
Enable the balloons in the help menu, then move the pointer on the application file. An image with all the programmers' names will appear.

Level select:
Hold [Option] and select a new game to choose any level from 1 to 10 for game play. Additionally, enter 0 at the level select screen to begin game play on the secret "Bridge" level.

Special cars:
Hold [Option] at the main menu while starting. Three numbers should appear. Change those to the following values for the corresponding car.
