Level select:
Hold Down/Left + 1 + 2 + Start and power on the Game Gear. Release Start at the title screen, then press that button again while continuing to hold the other buttons. The round and level number will appear. Continue to hold 1 + 2, but release the D-pad. Continue to hold 1 + 2 and press Up or Down to select a new round and level.

Shootout game:
Select world cup mode and choose the "Password" option. Enter PK as the first two characters of the password and leave the remaining characters as they appear. Return to the main menu and select exhibition mode. A shootout game will appear after both teams are selected.

Control the umpire:
Press Up or Down while pitching to move the umpire to the left or right. This may be used to fool the batter as to the location of the next pitch.
