Break Drift
Press A + B while turning to slide. Also try this when hopping a ramp.

Bonus cars:
Begin game play in practice mode and select the "Practice Championship" option. Finish under the indicated time on the following tracks to unlock the corresponding car.

Invincibility:
Hold A and press C-Up, C-Up, C-Down when a match begins.

Random level:
Press Z + A at the level selection screen.

Random robot:
Press Z + A at the robot customization screen.

Play as Festus:
Select any character, then change his or her name to Golddgr.

Play as a biker:
Select any character, then change his or her name to Delvis.

Play as Cindy:
Select any character, then change his or her name to Instyle.

Play as Little Mark in 80s costume:
Select any character, then change his or her name to Marko.

Play as Little Mark in 70s costume:
Select any character, then change his or her name to Brat.

Play as a tiger:
Select any character, then change his or her name to Tigerrrr.

Play as Billy in a black sweater:
Select any character, then change his or her name to Cybertw.

Play as Billy in a white shirt:

Control ball:
Hold the Analog-stick in the desired direction while the ball is in the air. Hold Analog-stick Up to make the ball fly or roll further. Hold Analog-stick Down to keep the ball from rolling too far.

Keep power-ups from driving range:
Use the driving range and get any desired power-ups. Then, select "Quick Play" to begin a game with all the power-ups were already collected.

All weapons:
Press C-Left, C-Down, C-Right, C-Up, Z, L, R, C-Left, C-Down, C-Right, C-Up at the level selection screen. A sound will confirm correct code entry.

Level select:
Press C-Up, C-Right, C-Down, C-Left, R, L, Z, C-Up, C-Right, C-Down, C-Left at the level selection screen. A sound will confirm correct code entry. Press the Analog-stick to choose a new starting level.

Fight as Sonork:
Press L, R, C-Up, C-Down, C-Left, C-Right at the title screen when the word "Start" appears. A sound will confirm correct code entry.

Fight as Demitron:
Press A, B, R, L, C-Down, C-Up at the title screen when the word "Start" appears. A sound will confirm correct code entry.

Fight against Demitron:
Press Up, C-Left, R, Right, Down, B(3), C-Up at the title screen when the word "Start" appears. A sound will confirm correct code entry. A special Demitron vs. Demitron match will begin.

View character endings:
Enter one of the following controller actions at the title screen when the word "Start" appears to view the ending for the corresponding character.

Hint: Easy win:
Run as far away from your opponent as soon as the match begins. Keep moving away from your opponent, and press Up/Left + C-Left to execute the quick jump attack. Repeat this to win easily.

Hint: Easy victory as Sonork:
When fighting as Sonork, stand at the other side of the screen and press Back, Back, R.

Fight as Gouriki:
Press Up(2), Down(2), Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A at the title screen.

Fight as Reiji:
Press A, B, Right, Left, Right, Left, Down(2), Up(2) at the title screen. Note: While fighting as Reiji, press L + R when the health bar is at approximately 33% to transform into Yami or Hikiri.

Alternate costumes:
Hold L and press Left or Right at the character selection screen. The character portrait will change colors to confirm correct code entry. Then, select a character while L is still held.

Special stage:
Break down all ten buildings in a single stage. Return to the stage selection screen and press Start. Alternatively, successfully complete the game in tag team mode under the very easy difficulty setting using only one character in under twenty-one minutes.

Hint: Regain health:
Repeatedly tap C-Up, C-Down, C-Left, or C-Right after being knocked down to regain up to two health points.

Hint: Extra character creation bodies:
Create and train a character until he or she has accumulated over ninety moves. Two new bodies (male and female) will be unlocked the next time the character creation feature is used.

Quick start:
Press A immediately after "Set" is announced at the start of a race.

Cheat mode:
Enter one of the following codes through the "Magic Codes" selection on the options screen. Enter the code again to disable the cheat effect. Note: The cheat codes can not be saved and must be entered with each game session. Additionally, some codes will only work in Tracks mode and have no effect in Adventure mode. Note: Every time you defeat Wizpig, a code will be revealed.

Special move:
Quickly collect five cogs to get one letter from the word "SPECIAL" in any level. Keep collecting cogs until the entire word is spelled out. Complete the level to learn a special move.

Defeating Merlock:
When one part of the floor shakes, go to the other part of the floor and dodge the fireballs. The pin-like things being shot from the front are harmless. When he splits up into four forms, hit the one whose pendant glows and repeat. Use caution because the less energy Merlock has, the more floor tiles fall into the lava.

Bonus screen:
Complete 100% of the game (all tasks completed in each level, all costumes unlocked, all special moves unlocked) to view a screen featuring the characters in the game.

Alternate costumes:
For each 10 Golden Threads collected, a new costume for Donald will be unlocked.

Camera:
Use Tiny and shrink to enter the fairy-shaped stone building in the main hub. Collect the camera to start photographing the Banana Fairies hidden in the game and unlock the "Mystery Menu" options.

DK Theater:
Find and photograph two Banana Fairies to unlock the DK Theater option at the "Mystery Menu". This option allows all the animation sequences to be viewed.

DK Bonus stages:
Find and photograph six Banana Fairies, then locate Rambi the rhino, and Enguarde the swordfish to unlock their bonus stages.

Boss battle:
Find and photograph ten Banana Fairies to unlock the Boss Battle option at the "Mystery Menu". This allows any Boss that already has been defeated to be fought again.

Krusha In multi-player:
Find and photograph fifteen Banana Fairies to unlock the Krusha In Multi-Player option at the "Mystery Menu".

Cheat Mode:
Find and photograph all twenty Banana Fairies to unlock the Cheat Mode option at the "Mystery Menu". This allows unlimited items during game play.

Bonus levels:
Find and collect forty Blueprints and bring them to Snide to unlock eight bonus levels (Batty Barrel Bash, Beaver Bother, Big Bug Bash, Krazy Kong Klamor, Kremling Kosh, Peril Path Panic, Searchlight Seek, and Teetering Turtle Trouble).

Kasplut colors:
Look at the hair color of a Kasplut when one is encountered. The color will reveal what color Blueprint he is holding. Green hair indicates a green Blueprint). If the Kasplut has white hair, then he does not have anything (you have already collected that Blueprint).

Features menu:
Enter ?TJL BDFW BFGV JVVB as a password. The game will begin on level one. Pause game play to access a new "Features" menu that allows level selection, invulnerability, map mode, health boost, and weapons/ammunition. You can also access the "warp to fun" levels 25, 26, and 27. Once enabled, the health boost and weapons/ammunition options may not be disabled. The invulnerability option will be disabled on level 32. Once enabled, the features menu will appear when any saved game is paused until the Nintendo 64 is powered off or reset.

Secret levels for special keys:
Level 4 has a secret entrance to level 29.
Level 12 has a secret entrance to level 30.
Level 18 has a secret entrance to level 31.
Destroy all the barrels on Level 1 to access Level 32. The warp is in a secret room behind the starting location of the level. Save the first barrel to be destroyed last.

Death messages:
Do not immediately resume game play after losing a life. Random messages will appear at the top of the screen for several seconds at one minute intervals.

Super status:
Enter W93M 7H20 BCY0 PSVB as a password. The game will begin on the last level with 100 health, 200 armor, all weapons, full ammunitions, the backpack, and levels 29 to 31 completed. The inventory will contain three pentagram items that power-up the laser to be three times as powerful as the BFG9000 and activate the three switches in the last level to close the gates that spawn the monsters.

Hint: Enemies:

Former Soldiers: They resemble your old friends, but now they just fire pistols at you. They drop clips for the chaingun and pistol when killed.

Former Sergeants: Meaner and tougher. They carry shotguns and do more damage then soldiers. They drop shotguns when killed.

Imp: This creature throws fireballs and takes more bullets to kill.

Demon: Appear in most areas and can rip your head off if you are not careful. If you see more of them, use the chaingun.

Cacodemon: These creatures are ugly and have one big mouth. If they see you, they will fire lightning balls from their mouth. Use your rockets.

Mancubus: You have to use more then a chaingun to kill them. Use ammo with caution.

Arachnotron: Fires plasma energy at you. Use your rifle.

Spider Demon: The ultimate enemy. Has a super chaingun mounted on her body. Use your plasma rifle or rocket launcher.

Hint: Outpost Omega:
Use the following steps to access level 28, Outpost Omega. On level 4, when you reach the part where there are four pillars, go to the stairs. You will see four switches. Activate the one second closest to the blue door, then the switch closest to the stairs, then the switch to right of you, and then the switch closest to the door. All the pillars will be straight, and will lead to another exit. Note: Each time you activate the correct switch, the pillars will move up or down.

Play as Princess Corona:
Successfully complete the game to unlock the Princess Corona as a playable character. After returning to the main menu, select the "Cleared Game Data" to play as her.

More viruses:
Press L or R in marathon mode to increase the number of viruses.

Metal Mario:
Successfully complete story mode as Wario under the normal, hard, or super hard difficulty setting without losing or using the redo option. Defeat Metal Mario without losing to unlock him in versus mode.

Vampire Wario:
Successfully complete story mode as Dr. Mario under the normal, hard, or super hard difficulty setting without losing or using the redo option. Defeat Vampire Wario without losing to unlock him Mario in versus mode.

Cheat mode:
Press Left(2), L(2), Right(2), Left(2) at the main menu to unlock the cheat menu.

Invincibility:
Enable cheat mode, then press R(7), Left.

Fight as GYN:
Enter the options screen and set the difficulty to normal, and choose two round mode. Then, successfully complete story mode using any character. GYN may now be selected in any mode except for story mode.

Fight as Ray:
Enter the options screen and set the difficulty to hard, and choose two round mode. Then, successfully complete story mode with Hana. Ray may now be selected in any mode except for story mode.

Cheat mode:
Press Left(2), L(2), Right(2), Left(2) at the main menu to access the cheat menu. In the UK version, press Left, Down, L(2), Up, Right, Left, Up. In the French version, press Left, Down, L(2), Up, Right, C-Left, C-Up. In the Japanese version, press L(4), Right(2), Left(2).
